OOC: For those that didn't read the IN thread, this is how we have done RPG in IN: we started off in news bulletin style, posting about what's happening in our nations and interacting with eachother in that way. For special stuff, like wars and conferences, we'd usually use a more personal way of narrative, often in first-person form.
Here's an example:

Karadas Broadcasting Foundation (KBF) News
- CIW shipyards are refitting its fleet with mine-detection equipment, to remove mines in its waters which were placed by Automaticz many years ago. Once these have been located, minesweepers will be sent in to defuse the devices. Mines have hurt CIW overseas trade as vessels could only stay on a select course, which was not always the most efficient.
- A Kardas Dragon rampage has destroyed a square kilometer of forest. Researchers are investigating the cause of the event.

Automaticz State News
-The Prime Minister today mentioned that he was pleased that the CIW was taking a proactive approach to the mine problem and hopes other nations will do the same. However, the Head of the Navy reminded Karadas Merchant and Navy shipping not to stray into Automaticz waters without prior permission.

-The Ministry for Transport announced an ambitious new plan to build a high speed railway tunnel under Automaticz' North Gulf to connect the two major cities at either side, currently to travel between the two commericial hubs requries a long rail or car journey around the bay, it is thought that travel times will be drastically reduced when the project is completed.
Tunneling is to start immedietly and there were joyous scences as the Minister for Transport turned on the two syncronised tunneling devices which will meet in the centre of the bay to complete the tunnel. The project has created hundreds of jobs in the area and has been hailed as one of the next engineering wonders of the world by the Government.

Emperor Announces Plan to Build Canal

SYLKON -- "The most ambitious national infrastructure project since the National Rail Service of 1981," broke ground for the first time in central Rusienne, as on the order of Emperor Philippikos IV the preliminary foundations for a canal linking the two major Rus rivers were established. The canal, which aims to aid commerce through cost-effective water transport, is expected greatly reduce the expense of shipping goods without the need to sail into Skuxian waters.
Sources in the Department of Commerce said that the Prime Minister had encouraged the Emperor to issue the order, following an easy vote in the National Assembly that saw the opposition coalition split, with the six Social Democrat MPs in support of the canal. One ICM MP voted with the opposition, so the final tally was 27 in favor, 13 in opposition.
The canal is expected to be completed in the summer of 2012; the grasslands of central Rusienne are not difficult to dig through but it must be made large enough to accommodate barges and warships, though private and small vessels will be permitted passage. A source close to the Prime Minister reported that vessels flying the flag of Rusienne will be permitted passage at no charge, but foreign vessels will be required to pay a fee.

General Grevious has also stated that the CIW will do its best to stay out of Automaticz territorial waters, so long as Automaticz ships do the same in CIW waters.

- Progress on what has now been named the "Northern Gulf Tunnel" is continuing at a steady rate.
- The Automaticz Military Reasearch Department has announced today that it has created a new sector dedicated to reasearch into chemical and biological weapons. Currently Automaticz has no chemical or biological weapons due to the lack of facilities for them, but now after the completion of a new highly secure military lab earlier this year; work can begin.
The aim is to have Automaticz first chemical or biological weapon by the end of this year with a regular production rate to follow.
In a statement to the media, the spokesman for the new sector had this to say,
"The lack of chemical and biological weapons is one of the few weaknesses in our military strategy, but not for much longer.
We are starting work on Anthrax and various nerve agents with more to follow."

- We made a census on our nation and we ALL support our leader Austin Setzer who founded this great land
- Many are winning the war on terrorism since a group of people from the CIW formed a terrorist :stalin: group whos goal is to destroy us :shot:
- and finnaly we have invented the first flying car making us the most advanced nation in Trav Khar

- The High Council of Marshals held a vote this past Saturday that offically elected the new and esteemed Lord Marshal. Before his selection for this position, he was Marshal Mathias Reinhard of the Imperial Army's 32nd Imperator Division. Reinhard began as a Junior Officer in the Imperial Army, graduating from the prestigious Kazzeran Officer Academy. He served in several campaigns, always commanding a front-line combat unit. Through his many years of combat service Reinhard sustained injuries that now leave him with a prosthetic left arm, prominent scars upon his face and torso, as well as a metal plate in his skull. He is a very popular man for the position, and his colleagues are extremely supportive of his nomination and election.
- A meeting of the Grand Council began yesterday and the Council of Delegates have brought forth issues such as higher spending on the health of the nation and public sanitation so far. Many ideas are being tossed about and debated. According to the council, we can expect some solid decisions on these matters within the coming days.
- Emperor Kazzer has decided to exercise his normally restrained powers by officially declaring the Kazzeran Bear as an animal that is protected under the authority of the government. Hunting this powerful and majestic beast is now illegal, punishable by significant time in Imperial Prison.

-Count Sudooku similarly declares the Kardas Dragon a protected species. However, the vicious nature of the animals has resulted in them being left alone.
- Count Sudooku also condemns the terrorist group from the CIW which is attacking Austin Setzer. General Grevious promises CIW support for Austin Setzer.
- General Grevious and Count Sudooku have also issued a statement calling the production of chemical and biological weapons immoral, and propose a conference to ban the use of them.

-We caught up to President John Henry Eden and ask him his thoughts on Automaticz plans for the Northern Gulf Tunnel, he replied; "Ah those crazy Penguin Lovers are nuts will do anything to get out of a few hours of driving."

-The High Emperor Nibu assigned a new Ambassador to Austin Setzer, stating in hopes to better understand the land and expand relations.

- The tunneling of the Northern Gulf Tunnel had a small hiccup today as minor flooding occured in the eastern half of the tunnel, the water has now been drained and work is continuing.

- The defence minister today rubbished the CIW proposal of a conference banning chemical and biological weapons, in a short statement he said that Automaticz national defences cannot be limited by any foreign power.

- The Education Minister was intrigued to here of the Neo Nibu exchange programme, he has mentioned his intrest in allowing Neo Nibu children to experience the joys of socialism.

- The Automaticz Broadcasting Regulator has today raised consern over the accuracy of reports from Austin Stetzer, the head of the regulating body had this to say,
"Many of the statements that come from this news network are unrealistic to say the least, curing all of societies woes over-night and having a perfect economy, its just impossible."

-Austin Setzer broadcasting channel has said that "we have studied every one of our claims and they are true. and it did not happen overnight it happened over years. We just broadcasted it now"
-A national festival happened today where 300 million people joined in on the festival all over the country, women, men, children, EVERYONE joined together to praise Austin Setzer and its leader
-We made a historical deal with Neo Nibu giving them 1 billion dollars to help our industry
-Austin Setzer's goverment made a huge claim saying "We are one of the best countries in this rich, powerful region
-And lastly our countries news anchor James Tomwood says "CIW is full of warlords, and Automaticz national symbol is a penguin so that explains itself...While WE are the symbol of happiness in this region, other than Nibu of course..."

- Some citizens in Kazzerland have become restless, wondering why Austin Setzer has extrememly expensive far-future technologies and such fairy-tale-esque political and economic perfection. The High Council of Marshals has ordered the citizens of Kazzerland to disregard most of the news reports that are filtered in from Austin Setzer, stating that they are "...outrageous and clearly stretched far beyond the truth." Emperor Kazzer has politely requested that Austin Setzer keep these far-fetched reports out of Kazzerland.
- Kazzerland has expressed interest in the educational exchange program that is occuring in Neo Nibu. However, the government has warned Neo Nibu that the Kazzerland educational system may be quite difficult for their students to adjust to. Kazzeran schools are strictly uniformed and have very rigid codes of protocol and regulation.
- Lord Marshal Reinhard issued a statement regarding the production of chemical and biological weapons in Automaticz, saying, "While we don't necessarily condemn the use of such weapons simply by principle, we do condemn their use because we view them as a cowardly alternative to the otherwise noble and valorous fields of battle."
