-General Grevious was pleased to hear that the CIW terrorist group operating from Austin Setzer had been eliminated. "I want to repeat that the CIW never endorsed their activities. Probably remnants of that Stalinist scum..."
- Count Sudooku has also expressed concern over Austin Setzer's increasingly bold claims. "While I approve of Austin Setzer's concern for his people and efforts to increase the standards of living for his populace, that idea that all claims are true are far-fetched. The claim that the CIW is composed of warlords is completely false for example- it is a moniker referring to our turbulent history, as we have been a comparatively new nation. Furthermore, if the CIW truly was composed of warlords, I would not be labeled a Head of State and our news reports would be frightfully chaotic, given that all of our provinces would post their own war propaganda and all that."
- Sudooku has also given a speech to the CIW public aimed at the morale of its citizens:
"Proud people of the Confederacy! Do not be concerned at some of the excessive claims of Austin Setzer- we are currently not a nation of warlords. We have accomplished much during the years of my reign, allowing the CIW itself to proclaim itself as one of the symbols of happiness of the region! After the death of the Stalinist dictator,our nation was in ruins! Poverty was widespread, our economy was in shambles and our cities were hardly a comfortable place to live. My policies allowed us to become a commercial power, we have struggled hard to provide jobs and cut poverty! Our glorious and powerful navy has given us unfound security on our waters and protects our commercial fleet and our homeland from foreign invasion. We have accomplished much in terms of sustainability- we have sworn never to use nuclear power for any purpose, much of our energy as become renewable and the smog on our cities has long since lifted! We have given all many rights with the intention that your lives be comfortable and productive and our social net should be able to provide for you should you slip. We are not a perfect nation, I admit, but the progress we as a nation have achieved during the past decades is astounding!"
After the Count had finished speaking, a thunderous applause erupted from the crowd.

Automaticz State News
- There was a serious event at the Southern Ocean today, the official naval report has been issued,
"At around 6am this morning a group of protesters hijacked a small Automaticz cargo ship docked at one of our southern ports.
The protesers managed to leave the harbour undetected by immatating the actions of a normal cargo vessle.
The alarm was raised when the ships captain and crew who were on land at the time of the hijak alerted the authorities.
By this time the ship was nearing CIW waters. They were lighting flares and displaying large banners protesting against the apparant lack of freedom in Automaticz, the state flag was also burned several times in a dramatic protest.
The vessle crossed into CIW waters and was quickly heading towards the CIW mainland, the Automaticz naval battleship in the area warned the vessle to return to Automaticz waters.
The reply was that they would continue on their course away from Automaticz.
The battleship opened fire on the cargo vessle, it is stressed that the battleship remained in automaticz waters, its range reached into the CIW waters where the cargo vessle was.
The ship sunk quickly after several direct hits, the battleship reported no survivors."

-In Response to Kazzerland the Military Reasearch Department had a short statement saying that in modern warfare, a nation must have a diverse armory at is disposal to combat all threats.

- The Northern Gulf Tunnle is nearing completion, a large celebration is being prepared for the event.

Austin Setzer news-
-on a goverment channel they said "we apoligize if we offended anyone or any country. We hope you can forgive our nation and that reporter will not be showed on the international board any time soon. furthermore we did a nation wide census and it turns out many of the claims ARE true. the only poor people here are people who have done unjust things like murder."
-Secondly we saw a major rally that had banners like "AUSTIN SETZER IS NOT A LYING COUNTRY!" and "AUTOMATZ WILL CAUSE WAR IF THEY MAKE THE BIO WEPS". The goverment approved of the rally
-we have heard that 7 Austin Setzer citizens died on that cargo ship where they were employed. A nation wide funeral was made.
-the last polluting power plant in Austin Setzer has been fully replaced with a solar and wind power plant
-The leader Austin Setzer came out today with a surprise speech "we are one of the most proud nations in this region...I DO NOT WANT ENEMYS. I AM SORRY FOR THAT REPORTERS CLAIMS! but we are a free country that approves of free speech. so i say to CIW i am sorry. I have sent a 100 million dollars to help you with your country. If you become our official ally. and to automatz i have one thing to say...DO NOT BUILD THOSE WEAPONS. We will be forced to take actions into our own hands if these weapons are built. we have a HUGE military that we can use. we choose not to. so i ask you one more time. PLEASE DONT BUILD THESE WEAPONS"
this speech was heard all over the nation and all of the citizens of austin setzer cheered

(Austin you can't god mod in the rpg, I decided what happened to the cargo ship in my post, it didn't include details of any austin citizens.
Also you should tone down the unanimous support for your government, its increadibly unrealistic as we have been trying to hint through our rpg actions.)

OOC: Austin, Automaticz has a point. No nation is perfect, though some are quite close (The Scandinavian countries make a good example). I may not let overtly show it, but my nation has a couple downsides too: the CIW has hardly any political rights, there's a degree of censorship in the newspapers, the CIW distrusts communists, the airforce is small and a tad outdated, the army is a little obsessed with honor, the emphasis on armor means that a solid anti-tank force can put a large dent in my army, navy tactics are a tad outdated and half of our farms are on the Automaticz border .
Seriously, I've been in a country with some newspaper censorship and your posts remind me a little of that. Furthermore, an imperfect country has some values- it evens the playing field, making things more interesting. Also, if your country is imperfect, you could always strive for perfection as a long term goal.
Please don't take this too harsh though- honestly, I'm happy that you're RPing, as we need all the people we can get for this.
BTW Auto, your tunnel went really fast. Not sure if that's entirely realistic, but maybe I'm overly influenced by an old broadcast that they finished some tunnel in the Alps after 14 years. Maybe you've got strong drills though ;D

- The destroyer Antroz has been taken off mine-sweeping duty and has been sent to the location where the cargoship has been last reported. The CIW government intends to perform an investigation on the contents of the cargo ship. It will take some time to arrive however, as the area has not been de-mined. The Confederate Council will convene to decide whether usable cargo shall be confiscated or returned to Automaticz.
- Mine-sweeping progress is positive. Trade routes and areas intended for trade routes have been cleared to some extent.
- Count Sudooku expressed interest in Austin Setzer's alliance proposal. "Both the CIW and Austin Setzer possess common ground in their rejection of biological and chemical weapons, and view Automaticz as a potential threat, given current circumstances. An economical treaty could benefit us both even."
- The popular CIW thrash metal band Cyanide posted on their website that they might perhaps change their name to something more friendly such as 'Basket full of kitties' in light of Automaticz's chemical and biological weapons program.

- The Automaticz Admiralty has requested that cargo should be sent to them if recovered by the CIW to assist with the investigation that has now been started.

- Witnesses have reported family members of the protesters who hijaked the cargo ship dissapearing in the night, taken by unmarked vans. The government denies any involvment and questions the reliability of the source.

- The CIW Council has affirmed that usable cargo and other valuable objects are sent back to Automaticz. Evidence will be confiscated however. The destroyer Antroz has arrived and secured the now de-mined area and excavation equipment is on its way.
- Count Sudooku accepts Austin Setzer's proposal for an alliance, and is open for the creation of an alliance document. The Count is in favor of economic benefits along with a loose military alliance.
- The CIW Government has expressed utter shock at the nuclear disaster in Austin Setzer. The government promises aid, and politely sends back Austin Setzer's development aid for the nation. An investigation will be conducted on the CIW's nuclear stores- all nuclear armaments are believed to have been discovered and disarmed, but this has been brought into uncertainty given the incident. General Grevious has condemned the perpetrators and reiterates that the CIW state had no part whatsoever in the incident.

- The head of the police investigation into the hijacking had this to say,
"We are not concerned about the cargo, the company has already been compensated. However, as this was an Automaticz registered vessle it is our policy that all evidence must be delivered directly to our Authorities.
We are more than happy to search the area ourselves if this requirment is not met."

Austin Setzer-the leader of the nation- has survived the nuclear explosion and he said this
"It was an average day...i was going to work when i heard a loud explosion...then a blinding flash happened that temporarily blinded me and caused me to crash losing my consiusness. When i awoke i saw...mass panic in the streets....i saw panic and the dead bodies...one of them was my best friend. I was 2 miles from the epicenter and It was a bloody mass of rubble and bodys. i promise-wait i GARENTEE- i will find and kill EVERY SINGLE OF THOSE TERRORIST SCUM AND KILL THEM!

-Luckily to the good economy we are able to rebuild the city and repair the enviorment around it...but at what cost? our nation is now afraid for what might happen next...all we wonder is why would someone do this? that is why we raise the DEFCON level to DEFCON 1....war has started and it will end someday...

SYLKON -- Emperor Philippikos IV spoke out on the nuclear tragedy in Austin Setzer today, lamenting the loss of life and denouncing international terrorism. In his speech to the assembled media, the Emperor declared "no quarter will be given in this land to those responsible for the attack." He also announced that the northern border with Austin Setzer would be closed to protect the border in this chaotic time. Aid would still be permitted to go north, especially food products from the fertile river valleys.

In a supplementary speech, Prime Minister Stavridis explained that this was the reason Rusienne continued to implement a strict internal passport system, which would contain movements from dangerous and subversive elements of society, though citizens had no reason to be concerned about the delays which are so frequent at internal border crossings. The Prime Minister also announced that Rusienne would accept the trade agreement with the CIW despite the blame for the nuclear attack laid at the feet of CIW terrorists by the Austin Setzer government.

The Leader of the Opposition will voice his views and those of the Democratic Left/Social Democratic Party coalition at tomorrow's Questions to the Prime Minister.

- he said "i know we have fallen on tough times...with an unknown enemy here and our nation is suffering due to terrorism. We would like to call all allied nations to help us...infiltrate these people and make them suffer. We also have finished the body count....exactly 28,459,897 people died in the nuclear attack...only one building withstood the attack...and that building will forever serve as a memorial to those fallen...we are undergoing secret operations to find these people. thank you and good night"
