OOC: Welcome all to TKLC 2011! For a further explanation on what this is, read the sign up page. Heres how this will play out. On the date of your match, you will be expected to write a short description of what has happened to your team prior to the game (steroids, extra preperation, cheating, an affair, death of player, ect) this is all IN CHARACTER! You will receive bonuses to your match if you RP well, but keep in mind that what you say happens can also have a negative impact. If a Nation does not post their Events, then the match will play out as normally with no RP bonus or negative affects. But it really is better for all of us if you do. I will also be posting General Events, which will be somthing that happens that affects all of the teams playing (bad weather, terrorist attack, ect). Remember that all General Events are IN CHARACTER, and alot of them will have to do with events actually happening in the MT RPG. After a game has been scorinated, I will write the Post Game Events, which will show the score and the events that happened during the game. Nations are allowed to make Post Game Events of their own, such as how the team reacted to their loss and such, but this will not be expected of them. All Events, borrowing the Post Game Events, and General Events in some cases, should be written as a News Bulliten, like so; ______________________________________________________ NGNS, Bad news in the TKLC as Blocker Mike Sportyman has fallen ill directly before the big game! The Musketeers were forced to choose an audience member at random. The Dragons are planning an offensive strategy to take down the newcomer Blocker. Boy do I feel sorry for him! _____________________________________________________ I will be using Microsoft Excel and a few of my lucky dice to scorinate. If there are any questions please let me know VIA PRIVATE MESSAGE! I dont want this thread clogged with questions and such, keep this completley related to the tournament. Here is the schedual. Febuary 23rd: Cantihilahantan VS. Neo Nibu (Winner, Neo Nibu) Febuary 26th: Skooby Snaks VS. CIW (Winner, Skooby Snaks) Febuary 28th: Gonzdara VS. Teutonic (Winner, Gonzdara) March 26th: Neo Nibu VS. Skooby Snaks April 2nd: Cantihilahantan VS. CIW April 9th: Undecided VS. Undecided March 16th: Undecided VS. Undecided April 23rd: (Championship Match) Undecided VS. Undecided I will make updates to the Schedual as needed! So, now that everything is settled. Game on!

General Event
The rain starts to slow, and the wind dies down. All over the grandstands, fans and athletes alike, arise from their seats after the passing of the storm. After the report of The Breath of Seket, King Mercer decided that instead of cancling the TKLC, he would just turn all of Mathor Stadium into a giant safe zone. A metallic click is heard as the metal dome, which was moddled after the Dome of Austin Setzer, parts like the red sea, revealing a brilliant post-storm sky. The air is moist and whimsicle, and the fans cheer as loudly as they ever have. A voice booms near the top of the grandstands. "Good morning Gonzdara!" The crowd cheers ever louder "I trust you all slept well, what with the hurricane and all. A little wind wont stop us, afterall, Lug is played in all kinds of whether!" After a few minutes of pause to let the crowd cheer again, the voice returns "This is your King, Gregory Mercer, and this day shall be dedicated to erasing all the wrongs that have been done in Trav Khar, to enter us into a new age of peace and prosperity! So lets not waste anytime, let the tournament begin!
All of a sudden, the Gonzdarian National Marching Band appears on the wet field. Their uniforms gleam with dazzling sparkles as they play the national anthem, (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nz0b4STz1lo), Then in the closing minutes of the song, the New Order of Gonzdarian Knights rushes onto the field, firing volleys of rifles into the air, signaling the path of GAO Fighter Jets to race across the field. Queen Alexandria leads the Knights as they march their way off the field, leading the marching band.
Shortly afterwards another voice sounds, "Good morning Gonzdara, im Dick Liesalot, you might have seen me on NGNS. We sure do have one hell of a tournament today. Our first match is between the Neo Nibuian Dragons and the Cantian Firebirds. Lets bring out the teams!
Suddenly the two teams race out of opposite ends of the field, each teams blocker holding their national flag, and they take their positions on the field. As Dick Liesalot said, this is going to be one hell of a match.
OOC: Now this is where the two of you post your Events. Things that happened to your team before the match. Lets begin.

Post Game Events
Wow, what a game! This was the perfect opening match for the TKLC! For those of you who dont know, im talking about the Lug match between the Nibuian Dragons, and the Cantian Firebirds. Both teams were looking strong, and were coming onto the field with a determined look on their faces. The two teams exchanged some banter the likes of which ive never seen!
As soon as the whistle blew, the two teams were at it, and the first score was made by Cantian Thrower, Jack Kogan. But this quick point was not without sacrifice, as Kogan took a nasty blow from the Dragons Blocker, which caused him to have to sit out for the rest of the game. The Dragons capitalized on this, by running offensive strategies with their Catchers to wear down the replacment Firebird Thrower. After that it was all downhill for the Firebirds as the Dragons were able to make 4 points. Obviously the Firebirds need to work on their defence. But all was not lost for the Firebirds. After a time-out in which the Firebird Blocker, Haki Hazim, made a wonderful speech to his team, which boosted everyones moral, they were able to score two more points in the last round of the game! However, this was not enough to win the game for the Firebirds, as the whistle blew exactly one second before they were about to tie the game. Congratulations to the Dragons on their first win! The Firebirds are reminded that this does not disqualify them from the tournament, as they still have one more chance!
Final Score
Neo Nibu Dragons: 4 Cantia Firebirds: 3

"Hello, this is Martin Kopesen, and I am the sports representative for the CIW. Sadly we doubt that this broadcast will reach the mainland, as we are broadcasting from an international station. Regardless, the second match of this tournament is between our own Karadas Corvettes and the Skooby Snaks Devildogs. Though the Corvettes have continued valorously with their training up to this match, the news of the revolution in the CIW has hit the players hard. Blocker William Jaller spoke with us today, and said that the event will not affect the Corvettes' performance, and that they will use their city's uniform instead of the national one in protest. Despite this, rumors are abound that the team is depressed about the revolution. Well, all except two. Catcher Dave Varnsen and Thrower Steve Hewkison, according to rumors, have tried to drink away the sorrows, and many believe they are tipsy. I do not expect Hewkison to throw accurately, and both to be somewhat rowdy and not overly concerned for safety. However, the Corvettes are more experienced than the Devil Dogs, and with the presence of former Head of State Sudooku, the Corvettes may yet achieve a victory."

Welcome to the CTP official coverage of the 2011 TKLC in Gonzdara! I’m Matt Hoffman, briniign you the latest on the Championship as it unfolds. Today, we have a pregame review of the Teutonic Ironwings, the team recently formed from our nations finest athletes, thrust into the spotlight of the world, as they push for glory in the Lug stadium. The team manager has issued a statement to the press that, despite the team’s initial apprehension to facing Lug-legends, the Gonzdarian Musketeers, spirits fly high, as the stringent training regimen comes to an end, and a day of rest and recovery in preparation for the big game begins. Rumours have leaked that the team will be adopting an aggressive stratagem tomorrow, in what promises to be a brilliant game, as we see the Ironwings at the top of their form. We now pass to our panel of experts speculating on the nature of the sport….

Post Game Events
The match between the Confederate Corvettes and the Skoobian Devil Dogs was almost as exciting as the electrifying first match we had! Before the match began we experienced an attack from what appeared to be mixed GFM and Cult Soilders, which claimed the lives of six people. The asailants were attempting to make their way to the box office seats to attack the visiting Count Sudooku and King Mercer, but they were stopped by nearby Security Forces. The attackers Leader seems to have escaped, but Security Forces have been quadrupled since the attack and a special task force has been assigned to finding the attackers leader so the tournament could proceed as normal.
Now onto the actual match! Both Teams were frightened of a second attack from the GFM, and they all seemed to be distracted throughout the whole Event! The Corvettes were doublly shaken due to the Revolution in their Home Nation of the CIW, which seemed to affect their gameplan. The DevilDogs seemed to become more Silent and Focused as the game went on, adding to their policy of not speaking with the NGNS, or causing any events whatsoever. In the first round, both teams were able to score points, in the second round no points were scored but Corvette Blocker William Jaller blocked six seperate shots from the DevilDogs, a new record in Lug Championships. The Musketeer Blocker has yet to comment on this show of skill. With the score tied in the last round, both Teams adopted offensive stategies, but the DevilDogs, being the calmer of the two, were able to score three points while the Corvettes only scored one. Ending the game at 2-4. Congratulations to the DevilDogs on their first victory! The Corvettes will be facing the Cantian Firebirds soon to see who will get a second chance in the TKLC!
Final Score
CIW Corvettes: 2 Skooby Snaks DevilDogs: 4

OOC: Sorry I keep doing these so late, ive got some things going on in RL keeping me busy
Post-Game Events
Our home team, the Musketeers, finnally had their first game in the TKLC against the Teutonic Ironwings. And neither Team dissapointed! Both the Muskete were still frightened, due to the recent attack from the GFM and the Cult of Claudian. And to make to matters worse, as soon as the Game started, after affects of the recent storm kicked in and it started to rain! Never the less, the game kicked off with an impressive first score from the Ironwings, after that however it was all downhill for the Teutons, because the new training regiment for the Musketeer Catchers seems to have payed off. The Gonzdarian Catchers were able to capture both of the Ironwing's Throwers, resulting in five straight points for the Musketeers. Near the end of the game, Ironwing Thrower, T. Ferren, was able to score a miracle point by coming back onto the field after a combined effort of the Ironwing Catchers. In the end, this show of skill was not enough, and the Musketeers won, as was expected. This is leading many to wonder wether its possible for the Musketeers Rivals to really win this thing?
Final Score
Gonzdarian Musketeers: 5 CTP Ironwings: 2

"Hello, I am Martin Kopesen, and I am the sports representative for the CIW. First off, we are happy to announce that we are once more part of the Karadas Broadcasting Foundation. I hope all you are watching back in the CIW, for this will be match that decides which of these two team will continue their journey in the national Lug tournament. The Karadas Corvettes were quite saddened at their loss against the DevilDogs, but Captain Jaller managed to turn the grief of loss into a determination to do better. The team has trained to the best of their abilities during the tornadoes, and the return of stability in their home country has raised the team's spirits. There are rumors that the Corvettes are angry at the Cantians for their unfounded invasion of Karadas, thereby endangering their families, but Captain Jaller has said nothing on this. Ah, there, the CIW Corvettes come out, proudly wearing their national uniforms. And there plays the Corvettes' theme song! (OOC: it's speed metal if you're wondering: www.youtube.com/watch?v=DZUN6-JwwMA ). Excellent playing by Running Wild there, nothing like a heavy sonic assault to get the team ready. Oh, but what's this? Insults from the Firebirds? Some of the team look irritated, but wait. There's a reply. Ah, let me say it for you, the sound from the field's not of a good quality right now. Captain Jaller replied: "It saddens me to think that you resort to insulting commentary like this. This is an insult to the sport! Come Corvettes! We shall not stand by and let this happen idly!" That's quite a reply from Captain Jaller over there. Good to see a cool-headed person leading the Corvettes. It balances out the hotter tempers from Varnsen and Hewkison. Ah, but I see the teams forming up, ready to begin the match I see. Now going over to Dick Liesalot from Gonzdara!"
