I would really like to get into some roleplay. That's always what causes me to come crawling back haha...
So, perhaps we should start a RPG thread like we had in IN? Or maybe someone has a different idea? And if we're going to start an RPG thread, who's job is it to initiate that?

Mine, heh. But I've been busy studying for an environmental science test and a presentation for Big History...

Kazzerland raises a good point- what we always did in IN was that we basically post news bulletins of stuff that happens in our nations and communicate with others that way. Does anyone else prefer a different approach? I'd like to hear about it. I assume you guys want to use the modern times for an RP, or would you rather have something else?
I'm want to set the RP up soon, I'll have time to get real active after this week (midterms)

I think something like what we had in IN is probably the best idea. Plus, I'm gonna try to include more dialogue in my RPG posts because I kind of lacked on that.

I think we should open an RPG thread now, we have many players on the map but no use for it yet.

Okay, I'll post it after I finish my CIW map. One bit remains though. Does anyone have a good starting idea. I'm really bad at starting this. I tried the IN approach (basically how you started our first RPG thread Auto) during my time at a different region and no one cared.
Otherwise I'll start with another episode of a Kardas Dragon rampage lol

I think either way of starting is fine.

I'll lay down some rules. Simply enough, no god-modding. I know I said this in the other RPG thread, but I'll clarify here.
Do NOT decide what happens to other people. I can't say that I launch a nuclear missile against some mountain base controlled by Twinshrews, destroying the base and the mountain, which becomes a rock slide that destroys his capital city. I can't even say how many people would die if I did do such a thing. Nor can anyone else; the ONLY person who can decide what that nuke does is Twinshrews himself. And even then, he cannot go beyond what is realistic and plausible. He can't say he altered the guidance system of the missile to make it land on one of my cities. Play this like it is real life: you are going to lose some battles, and you are going to win some battles. But this only works if everyone goes along with it; the moment someone starts to make shit up about how his nation is the best in the region, it's just not fun anymore.
Also, you can't mess with time. You might have the fastest jets in the world, but they still need to refuel, and it's still going to take a day to reach the other side of the world. That map should have some sort of distance scale on it, by the way. And you can't mess with science either. If you decide that your nation has a moon base, antimatter-fueled cars, whatever you think up, if it doesn't exist in real life yet, either everyone has it or no one has it. Choose wisely. Same thing for superweapons. Either everyone has "Star Wars" or no one has it. Look up "Star Wars" if you don't know what I'm talking about. And it's not the movie, smart-asses.
I think that should be good. Hope I haven't come across as too anal, but I've run up against several people who turned me off of RPing completely. I pray you fine fellows won't disappoint me.

Thank you Rusienne. I can assure you that the RP veterans from IN are aware of all those rules. However, I'm sure we have some new members here in Trav Khar who haven't really done this before. Let's try to help them ease into our RP and make sure everyone is aware of the rules.
