Südendeutsch is a language descended from the German Language of various countries. For two hundred years it has been separated from other German communities allowing it to develop. It has been influenced much by the English of the North. Key Difference Between Südendeutsch and German Most personal pronouns have changed or anglicized. Note that the formal, plural, you (Sers), he (him), and formal you (Ser) are an example of Pseudo-anglicisms. Personal Pronouns German Südendeutsch I ich Ik (Pronounced "eek") you (Singular, Familiar) du du (or doeh locally in some areas) he er him she sie sche it es et you (Singular Formal) Sie Ser we wir whir ("wh-EAR") you (Plural, Familiar) ihr yer ("ye-EAR") they sie sie ("Zee") you (Plural, Formal) Sie Sers
In addition the German articles have changed and the cases reduced to nominative and accusative.
Article German Südendeutsch Accusative Change? Male der dir ("d-EAR") din ("d-EEN") Female die die ("d-EE") no Neuter das des no
Words like ein, mein, sein, etc. follow the standard German rules.
Some past tense endings have changed. Regular Verbs as in German Er hat eine Geschenke geschinkt. Ge- and t added to signify tense. Past tense verb at the end.
Gehe (to go) in German would be gegangen. In Südendeutsch geganged is used.
The most enduring aspect if Südendeutch is that "K" can be used instead of a hard "C" at the beginning of words. Either can be used and this carries into the local English. Capital or Kapital is one example.
The last difference is that many German words have become archaic and replaced. Example: Ich Sprechen deutsch becomes Ikk speake Deutsch.
