Pretty self-explanatory- this is for RP purposes. I'd rather RP with my main nation than Kardas 1.

Name: Confederacy of Independant Warlords. This title is not entirely representative of the nation however, and reflects the state of the country as United Warlords.
Capital City: Karadas, the capital of the most powerful warlord state. Also the largest city.
Currency: Confederate Credit
A Short History of the CIW (Pre-TK)
Since Medieval Times, the Confederacy of Independant Warlords was just a group of states, each ruled by a warlord. Warring was frequent, and the region became infamous as an active hub of piracy, during which Ehlek Island was settled. By the 1800’s, after centuries of peace and war, only 11 large states remained on the mainland, and peace prospered for a while. By the end of the 19th century, war erupted again, but this time, one of these states defeated the others and united the country. This nation was called the United Warlords, which lasted 56 years. However, after a serious disagreement, a large civil war, fought between the west and the east of the mainland, was fought. The country was renamed the Confederacy of Independant Warlords, and the government was a cruel Stalinist dictatorship. After the dictator’s death, a bloodless revolution took place inside the government, and Count Sudooku became leader of the country. Although the government still wields considerable power, its benevolent nature allowed peace to settle in the country. However, only one political party, the centrist UPM (Union for a Popular Movement) is allowed in the CIW (the Stalinist DCPU has been outlawed). Under Sudooku, civil rights have also slowly been increasing.
Geography and Climate
The CIW has two expansive mountain ranges in the north, from which the country receives its minerals. Much of the country taken by grassland allowing for grazing. Kardas Dragons are found especially in the province of Ainor, but can be found around all forested areas on the mainland. Plenty of rivers and lakes can be found in the country- these have often served as border markings for warring states as they were easy to defend. Lands are especially fertile on the Automaticz border and the provinces of Piraka and Caparar, and proximity of water sources have allowed for easy agriculture in these areas.
The CIW experience all four seasons, but experiences a less harsh climate due to a large portion of the country surrounded by coastline. The gentle climate allows for good growing of crops. This holds true especially for Ehlek Isle, as the southernmost of the country.
Kardas Dragons
Kardas Dragons are 4-metre tall monstrosities living on the CIW mainland. They constantly generate a concussive force inside of itself and can then release it. The power of this force is dependent on how long it is kept in the body, but too much concussive energy will cause the Dragon to explode. The Kardas Dragon is also capable of flight, despite its proportionally small wings and bulky physique. Kardas Dragons are carnivores.

Bios
Count Sudooku- The old charismatic leader of the Confederacy of Independant Warlords. He has a final say on all of the country's affairs, but that rarely is a problem as a result of his benevolent nature. Sudooku has slicked-back silver-grey hair, along with a tidy mustache and beard. Recognizable for his powerful baritone voice, he is arguably the nation's best public speaker. He likes doing puzzles and fencing.
General Francis Grevious- Holds the title Commander of Confederate Forces, making him the highest military official in the country (aka has control over the military and the national intelligence agency).
The son of a family of marine merchants, he grew bored of his upbringing and joined the CIW Navy. An excellent strategist, this has gained him the nickname "Devious Grevious", which likely originated from him defusing a situation as an officer of the Navy during the DPCU era. This brought him to the attention of Count Sudooku, who was known then a government official pushing for some reform. Ironically, this nickname is the only thing he doesn't know about and everyone else does. Grevious sports a bushy mustache and beard, and has black hair. He likes swordfighting, and his famous for his temper.
Matthew Vayzon- Sudooku's Minister of Internal Affairs, which is basically Minister of Finance, Education and others lumped together. Although extremely shrewd, opponents claim he has outbreaks of insanity. He is apparently fond of spiders and Kardas Dragons. Some describe him as unorthodox and obnoxious.
Edward Kopaka- the CIW minister of Foreign Affairs and, as such the most important diplomat of the country. Kopaka can be aloof at times and is known for his cold demeanor.
Characteristics of Inhabitants
People of the CIW are generally proud, down-to-earth and generally share the belief (abandoned by most of the other countries) that war is glorious. Nevertheless, they know war should just be a last resort. They distrust the extreme left in their country, although they tolerate socialist nations.
Economy
The CIW is a capitalist nation, as the people deemed communism to be a failure (due to the previous dictator's Stalinist policies). However, the Sudooku government intervenes heavily in the economy, similar to the dirigsme policies of Charles de Gaulle. Although the economy is very strong, the government is looking at more sources of Green energy and getting rid of what nuclear power they have left. Care is also taken to not hurt the environment, which has flourished after the dictator's death.
Religion
Outlawed under the DCPU. This ban has been revoked under Sudooku as part of his civil rights improvements. However, many top officials are agnostic. Christianity, Judaism, Buddhism, Confucianism, atheism and agnosticism are listed as major religious affiliations in the country.
Government
The leader of the CIW is Count Sudooku, though his official title is Head of State (Count being hereditary). Sudooku embodies the soft power of the CIW and is always present to smooth relations both inside and outside of the CIW. Care is taken to present Sudooku as the 'good cop' while other government branches can be framed as a 'bad cop' when necessary. Though the cabinet does most of the governance, Sudooku's role is anything but symbolic and has final say on everything.
Under Sudooku is the Prime Minister Vayzon who leads the CIW cabinet. The cabinet is not elected, but made of individuals noted as qualified by Sudooku. This is to achieve a balance between good governance and the prevention of government elements hostile to Sudooku.
On equal footing with the Prime Minster is the Commander of Confederate Forces, General Grevious. In wartime, the military takes governing priority however. The military also controls the intelligence agency and police force.
The Confederate Assembly is made up of representatives of the CIW provinces. The Assembly reports mainly to the cabinet, so cabinet decisions reflect the needs of CIW provinces. Provinces also have provincial assemblies which are made up of mayors who also lead the municipalities (as municipalities are centered around large cities).
Domestic Policies
Economically, the CIW balances between sustainability measures, business regulations and the market system. The economy, though powerful, functions mainly to the needs of the state. A continuous attempt to balance sustainability and economic might is apparent.
Though political freedom is low for an industrialized country, the CIW sports a very liberal policy on civil rights. One can say that in the CIW individuals can do anything but vote. This is reflected in government attitude, as citizens can do anything as long as it does not present a threat to government power.
Nuclear power plants leftover from the DCPU era have all been shut down. Coal plants remain, but large portions of energy have been gained from solar, hydroelectric and especially wind power.
Foreign Policy
The CIW distrusts any communist countries, though it tolerates socialist ones. Apart from that, the CIW is accepting of economic partnerships and is eager for trade. The CIW retains alliances with Kazzerland and Austin Setzer, and is friendly towards most other nations.
Music
Harder variants of rock appear to be the preferred musical genre in the CIW. Bands such as Deep Purple and Pink Floyd are preferred by the middle-aged generation. Metal, especially classical, symphonic, power and progressive metal, are highly popular among youth. Examples are Helloween, Iron Maiden, Rhapsody of Fire, Gamma Ray, Dream Theater and Queensrÿche. Thrash metal such as Metallica and the other Big Four and the technical and melodic forms of death metal, such as Opeth and In Flames, are also more popular than among most other nations. Pop and hip hop music is a minority, while electronic music is rarely heard outside of dance clubs. There is also a sizeable portion of the population that prefers punk, jazz, classical and blues.
Resources
The CIW's main resources are minerals and lumber. The forests on the mainland have been diminished as a result of constant warfare, but sustainable techniques on Ehlek Isle have resulted in the island retaining most of its forest. Minerals come mainly from mountains up north. These mountains are rich in aluminum, iron and nickel, with limited deposits of tin, silver and zinc also seen. Agriculture is practiced in the southeast of the country as well as on the border of Automaticz, but not enough for export. Oil has been found in coastal waters, but these have not been exploited on a large scale yet. The CIW also sports a large fishing industry.
Military of the CIW
The CIW War Flag
Military doctrines have some emphasis on the concept of honor and mutual respect, as the CIW adamantly refuses to use nuclear, chemical and biological weaponry on opponents.
Army- The army remains an important branch of the CIW, surpassed only by the CIW navy. The CIW fields a diverse selection of infantry, but prefers mechanized vehicles over infantry. Prevailing doctrines emphasize mechanized warfare. However, the heavy armor approach favored can limit the CIW's military mobility. The size of the CIW peacetime standing army is approximately 8 million. This can be increased in wartime as the CIW still has national service in place.
Infantry
All CIW Infantry are equipped with high-quality weapons and reasonably strong body armor. So far, CIW intelligence has been unable to incorporate training techniques and armor composites used by Kazzerland. Regardless, infantry is divided into six main classes currently, according to the weapons they carry. All CIW soldiers receive rudimentary training with all weapons, after which they may (usually) choose to further train themselves with a weapon of their choice. All infantry come equipped with a few fragmentation grenades. There are a couple other groups though:
Troopers: These infantry units carry Fireblast weapons, the standard rapid-firing assault rifle of the CIW. as with all CIW troops, the units are well armored. They are equipped with a bayonet knife.
Riflemen: These units carry Watershock weapons, a mid-range scoped semi-automatic rifle.
Shotgunners: These units carry Airshot weapons, a shotgun. They also carry 2 knives.
Rocket Infantry: The CIW's dedicated anti-tank infantry, these units carry Stonesmash weapons, a type of rocket launcher with a medium blast radius.
Grenadiers: An uncommon class of units carrying Earthshock grenade launchers. These grenade launchers are powerful, but reload slowly. Sometimes seen wielding mortars.
Snipers: These units carry Icecrack sniper rifles, currently the CIW's weapon with the most powerful-quality zoom feature.
Commando: Rarely seen on the battlefield, CIW commandos are the very top of CIW infantry. Given the best body armor and tough training program with an unusually high dropout rate, even when starting with the CIW's best soldiers, commandos are trained to expert-level in all weapons, but usually come with silenced .50 caliber assault rifles. Which they fire left-handed. Commandos are also equipped with a supply of C4s which they may use to take out buildings, or anything else really. They are also given a theoretical course on the use of 'Verbal Quips' (Bond One Liners), of which they are the undisputed masters.
Tahnok Flamethrowers: Rarely seen on the battlefield, these units are called in difficult situations, usually against a heavily entrenched enemy.
Cordak Machine Gunners: The two work in pairs to set up a heavy machine gun. One fires it while the other feeds the ammo. There's usually sandbags defending their position too.
Vehicles and Cavalry
Carabine Armored Personnel Carrier: The current APC in the CIW army. Armed with a machine gun, there is also a port allowing passengers to fire, though explosive or flame weaponry is forbidden to be used.
Nassaur Tank: the standard tank in the CIW army. It has a main 360 degrees rotating turret that has can fire missiles or shells and has a machine gun. The tank is very well armored, most of the armor being on the front. Soldiers can also catch a lift on the outside of the vehicle. It bears similarity to the British Challenger 2 tank.
Ruydter ATV: A fast enclosed buggy, usually equipped with Missiles and a mortar.
Rocket Artillery Vehicle (RAV): The new long range siege vehicle of the CIW. It takes a while to deploy its series of missiles, but the missiles possess a long range.
Kardas Dragon Riders: More ceremonial than a real fighting unit, the well-armored KDR rides an armored Kardas Dragon to unleash its destructive concussive force blast on the battlefield. The Dragons are huge, and inherently tough. The KDR is rarely seen on the battlefield but is used as an elite guard. Riders are equipped with sabers, lances and pistols for ceremonial purposes, but are equipped with machine guns and a heavy weapon in wartime or for security purposes.
Navy- The Navy has always been the most important military branch of the CIW. It has an unusually high amount of generalist ships for a modern fleet, but also possesses a large number of aircraft carriers, destroyers and submarines. Estimates put the CIW fleet at250 150 ships, not counting auxiliary ships. The Navy moniker is the CNS, which stands for Confederate Naval Ship.
Kardas-class Cruiser: The generalist ship of the CIW Navy. Often acts as the head of a combat group. Sometimes called a guided missile destroyer.
Fenrakk-class Destroyers: One of the two most common ships in the CIW Navy. Usually specialized for either anti-aircraft roles.
Berix-class Frigates: The CIW's specialized anti-submarine ships. Noted for its similarity to Fenrakk-class destroyers.
Bordakh-class Corvette: Smaller than destroyers, these maneuverable vessels are intended for defensive action. These form the backbone of the CIW green-water navy.
Gavla-class Minesweeper: The CIW minesweeper. Self-explanatory.
Ussal-class Auxiliary ships: Includes replenishment, transport, repair, harbor maintenance, hospital, logistics support, surveillance and research ships.
Sudooku-class Command ships: Only two of these ships have been made, the CNS Kaleesh and the CNS Glatorian. These huge ships are the pride of the CIW navy, and carry ceremonial value.
Nocturn-class submarines: The standard submarine of the CIW navy. Powered by hydrogen fuel cells, these submarines possess air-independent propulsion, allowing them to go on scouting missions akin to those of nuclear submarines. However, distance before refueling is still shorter than that of nuclear submarines.
Hydraxon-class Nuclear Submarines: As a result of the CIW's disdain for nuclear power, all of these submarines have been decommissioned.
Rahkshi-class amphibious assault ships: The CIW's 'ground' carrier. Used for seaborne invasions. The CIW has 8 of these ships in service.
Maxilos-class fleet carriers: Secretly nuclear-powered, this is standard aircraft carrier of the CIW Navy. Currently,9 4 of these serve in the Navy, each carrying a maximum of 20 aircraft. They are named after CIW provinces: CNS Cardolan, CNS Barakis,CNS Kunor, CNS Kirop, CNS Caparar, CNS Kojol, CNS Metis, CNS Iconox and CNS Piraka.
Midak-class fleet carrier: A planned class of aircraft carrier for the CIW. Will be able to hold around 30 aircraft. Seven are planned: the CNS Edward Head, CNS Arry, CNS Dickinson, CNS Murray, CNS Haich, CNS Nicko and the CNS Gers
Codrex-class supercarrier: Secretly nuclear powered, this is the largest class of ships in the CIW Navy. Onlythree one supercarrier, the CNS Malevolence, CNS Dargor and CNS Belisarius exists in the fleet. Each carries a maximum of 85 aircraft. Two new ones are planned, the CNS Serenity and the CNS Lhikan.
Air Force- The CIW's previous leader was afraid of flying and disregarded the CIW airforce. After several years of effort, the CIW air-fleet has been modernized and is of reasonable quality, but is numerically inferior compared to other nations. It is estimated that the CIW possesses 600 Air Force vehicles, including those stationed on aircraft carriers.
Air Force
Geonos Multi-role combat fighter: The standard fighter of the CIW. Similar to the F-16.
Keelerak Strategic Bombers These bombers are very similar to the B-52.
Vorzakh Air superiority fighter: Few of these aircraft exist due to their expense.
Matau Helicopter Gunship: Very similar to Apache helicopters. Often loaded with troops to give ground cover, usually with the two machine guns stationed there.
Gorast submarine hunters: Often stationed on aircraft carriers. Bears similarity to the S-3 Viking.
Orcahm Transport Chopper: Bears similarity to the Chinook. The CIW aerial workhorse, used to deploy additional reinforcements.
I hope you like it, if you have any suggestions please say so. I am not a military genius and most of these things have been based off of Rise of Nations and Tiberium Wars GDI units.
