Skin gets under your Discussion
The discussion on Article III of Likako's draft of a new Constitution has had its deadline extended. Why? Because a lively and productive discussion has taken root. Tsruhkwah, who has been in New Sorvun since its founding, has begun adding his two cents into the discussion of late. Though Tsruhkwah had registered on the new forums pretty much when they were created, his activity had been spotty until now. When asked his opinion of why the sudden change from spotty to daily activity, Likako responded:
Likako: I say it is directly contributed to our new forum skins. As soon as I mentioned them on the RMB, Tsruhkwah immediately shouted "Hooray!".
The new forum skin designs are based off the design that New Sorvun had used on its old forums, and had been created with the help of Spartzerina and The lepreachans, friends from the FRA. Likako notes that the skin design is not 100% complete yet, but that what we have now is great and a billion times better than what was used in the beginning.

Recruiting Contest put on hold
The monthly recruitment contest had begun on June 1st, in an attempt to inspire regional growth by channeling the citizens' competitive spirit. So far there are only two contestants: Likako and Trsuhkwah. In the lead thus far is Tsruhkwah with 1 point to Likako's zero, however the contest has been suspended temporarily due to concerns of regional security. The region's founder activity is questionable and the issue of possibly refounding has been raised, thus making recruiting moot if refounding becomes the solution to the problem.

Merge talks with Obsylia
Likako took a trip to visit some friends. Friends he had met when he was a citizen of the now-deceased region of Leone, at first it was merely a reconnect and exchange of embassies, but when Likako learned that Obsylia was mostly focused on roleplaying, a light bulb went off in his head. After days in the hospital removing a light bulb from his head, Likako began speaking with the people of Obsylia. Likako introduced the idea of merging with New Sorvun, saying that the type of roleplay-oriented community that Obsylia has would be perfectly congruous with Likako's idea of a roleplay-oriented government. These talks are still just what they are now: talks. Likako is not going to make any definitive comments about the progress of these talks until he is sure of what the Obsylians are going to do. Likako thinks that the nature of the Obsylians would be a perfect addition to New Sorvun as generally New Sorvunites had been politically - oriented and Obsylians (formerly Leonese or Leonites) roleplay - oriented and a relationship between the two would be beneficial, regardless of the result of the merger talks, as it would blend the two ideas together and would create wonderful discussions and activity between the two camps, which is Likako's goal in his dream of a roleplay-oriented government, which he says is the perfect marriage between the two.

Loan Office open for business
The New Sorvun Reserve, which runs and oversees the treasury and the AiO shop, has opened the Loan Office. This move is an answer to an issue with the Regional Roleplay, as the game's moderator Likako, set the prices a bit high, as a way to encourage activity within the game, however the current level activity within that game is not regular enough to reach those prices. However, The Loan Office would allow players to gain funds to use to buy things such as the items that allow progress in Regional Roleplay, without Likako having to lower the prices. It is important to note that the New Sorvun Reserve runs the shop in terms of selling items specific to RP games, as this would prevent accusations of corruption by the game moderators who would otherwise be receiving the funds when a player bought the items, which would give them distinct advantages over the other players.
Interregional News
FRA
With the resignation of Unibot, the FRA's AC, a snap election was called, and many qualified candidates jumped at this opportunity, and yesterday the polls had closed and here are the results:
Cocodian - 11
Wopruthien - 3
The lepearchauns - 2
Likako - 1
Present/Abstain - 3
Congratulations are in order for Cocodian as the Interim AC, and hopes of restoring order to the chaos that had hit the FRA these past few days.
The Rejected Realms
The attempt by Likako to exchange embassies has reached a stalemate with The Rejected Realms. In The Rejected Realms, they hold both consulates and embassies. The former, requires the region in question to post updates yet does not obligate The Rejected Realms to do the same, however the latter is an equal exchange of updates between The Rejected Realms and the region in question. Likako tried parlaying the fact that both are members of the FRA, however Sedge, Foreign Affairs Officer, said that though it is a contributing factor, that that alone is not enough to warrant an embassy with The Rejected Realms and suggested that a consulate should suffice. However, Likako was not satisfied and simply told them that a consulate is not adequate and withdrew his application saying that he'd re-apply when New Sorvun is eligible for a full embassy.
Pretalia
Pretalia, the successor to the line of Leone's crumbling regions, has shut the doors to its forums, and directed citizens to the sister region of Obsylia. Pretalia, unlike its rp-oriented sister Obsylia, was dedicated to governmental development, though many of the citizens there were also citizens of Obsylia. The last remnant of the Leonic regions now rests solely in Obsylia. Likako, a former citizen of Leone, is saddened at the news however has made contact with Obsylia in hopes to keep contact with what remains of his second home.

Western Lollisoda hit by devastating floods
The waves pounding down on the Western side of Lollisoda. They have gone into an inhabited desert and into Lollisoda's 15th biggest tribe, the fish have been collected and have been given to the other tribes in exchange for aid and help. This is a bad day for the Lakamujii tribe. However a sliver of fortune smiled upon the Lollisodans as a mystery chest washed upon their shores containing 2,000 Nuvros worth of gold.
Trade and Development in the Kingdom of Echelon
The Kingdom has experienced great strides since the acquisition of Anatoray, the territory's vast planes, forests and mountain ranges have benefited the people of Echelon to a great degree. Plants and wildlife provided new sources of food. Gatherers have been sent to the vast western forests of Anatoray to gather and logue and record what vegetation can be consumed, determine sustainable regeneration of said plants, while the the Hunters were sent to the plains in the east to look for animals and other wildlife to hunt for meat. Meanwhile settlers have been flocking to the new territory to build more shelters and settlements within the new land. And there has been a discovery of huge herds of sheep. Hunters have also turned to sheep hurding, and fur trading from their natural coats. Gatherers from the west continue to gather fruit from bushes, and figured out how to plant and harvest fruits for more sustainable food source generation.
However despitre this the Empress Vien Echelon still wishes for the tribe to expand further, north of the original homeland lies the land of Disith. The Empress however approaches with caution. It is said that the people of that untamed land fight with a savage brutality which rivals that of the warriors of Echelon. It is because of this that men in the mountain ranges of Anatoray and regional Echelon have been gathering rocks to use for projectiles and carving sharp spears to use at the end of thier wooden staffs. However Vien has gathered a small band of 12 warriors to escort her and explore the land herself, before putting anyone else in potential danger.

The Mithar Empire Continues to Expand Southward
After clearing out the forest in the southwest, the emperor urges to continue expanding southward
{OOC: Just a point of fact, the Mithari do not yet realize they are on a relatively small island, the strait is too wide to be able to see the other continents, so right now they believe the island they are on is the entire world.}
Emperor Likako I declaring that the entire world will eventually be under the domain of the Mithar Empire. And the desire is understandable with the Mithari race nearly doubling in the last year and food is beginning to run low, unfortunately some of this was a consequence of clearing the forests to make room for the growing Mithari race. The Emperor thereby decreed no cutting of trees in the southern territory that will become known as Palinor. Palinor will mostly be used as the empire's food supply. Hoping the mass quantities there will be enough for the ever-growing Mithari race.

From this update onward, we will spotlight a nation in New Sorvun, to give you a taste of the diversity of nations that our region contains.
The Imperial Kentish Colony of Tsruhkwah
Currently holds the office of the Delegate of New Sorvun.
Motto: "For King, Country, and Empire"
Category: Moralistic Democracy
Regional Influence: Dominator
Civil Rights: Few
Economy: Frightening
Political Freedoms: Some
The Imperial Kentish Colony of Tsruhkwah is a colossal, devout nation, notable for its prohibition of alcohol. Its hard-nosed, hard-working population of 8.821 billion are highly moralistic and fiercely conservative, in the sense that they tend to believe most things should be outlawed. People who have good jobs and work quietly at them are lauded; others are viewed with suspicion.
It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent government stops and the rest of society begins, but it concentrates mainly on Religion & Spirituality, although Law & Order and Defence are secondary priorities. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 30%. A powerhouse of a private sector is dominated by the Uranium Mining industry.
Inheritance tax has recently been abolished, all streets are privately owned toll roads, abortions are carried out secretly in shady backstreet clinics, and the institution of marriage is held sacred and strictly enforced. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force. Tsruhkwah's national animal is the Hawk, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, its national religion is a major religion, and its currency is the Egabian Pound.
Tsruhkwah is ranked 11th (out of 12) in New Sorvun and 90,914th in the world for Smartest Citizens.
