Update #3
Regional News
Progress on Stage 3
Progress is going steady on Stage 3 of my reconstruction plan. The Lounge is up and thanks to yumyum is stuffed to the rafters with spam. Also, I have begun a roleplaying game to get the ball rolling in the area. I installed the AiO system on to our forums, which has some useful features that could make things a whole lot easier to manage.
Two weeks ago, a public referendum was held on Article I of the Constitution. It has been approved. Later today a public referendum has begun for Article II, while Article III will be presented for open discussion.
Which will put us at the half-way mark as far as the Constitution is concerned.
Also due to some other circumstances, progress on our forum skins have been delayed, though the people who are doing this for me have come long a way, so I have no doubt that there will be that much of a delay.
Though our infrastructure is coming along nicely, activity here is a bit sparse, so starting June 1st, there will be a monthly recruitment contest and the winners will be awarded for their actions.
Of course once our Constitution is completed and ratified we will have a grand re-opening ceremony which invitations will be sent to all of our regional friends and allies.
Foreign Affairs
FRA
Since the last update there has been a lot of action on the floor of the Regional Assembly. The action is still focused on Ranger Disenfranchisement Issue, Two charter amendments have been proposed. One, which would allow the Rangers to elect two of their own to represent them in the RA has come up to vote and has failed to pass, whereas the other, that wishes to resurrect the Independant Assembly is currently at vote. However a preliminary look into the vote says that it too will not make it out alive.
Meanwhile, two similar issues are on the RA floor.
One calling for Alternative voting: This is calling for an adjustment of the voting procedure during a cabinet election, for when the leading candidate does not gain a majority.
The second is calling for proxy voting: This is to allow RA reps who go on leave to give their vote to their fellow rep from the same region to vote by proxy.
Likako Nehio of New Sorvun claims that both of these ideas are only molding the FRA around its inactivity which will lead the FRA into further problems, and suggests that focusing on increasing and encouraging higher activity would be the better alternative.
The Policy on Rogue Delegates have been approved by the RA. This policy has officially made clear the FRA's stance as well as details to the Rangers the course of action that needs to be taken when dealing with the threat of rogue delegates that inflict harm to regions in the form of purges.
National News
{This section covers the "Regional Roleplay" game and following this update will be done entirely In-Character}
New Nations Established!
The following Nations have come into existence:
The Imperial Federation of Mithar
The Kingdom of Echelon
The Republic of La America
The Imperial Union of Lolisoda
Population Booming! Nations seek to expand
Though they have yet to make contact, two nations have something in common. The Imperial Federation of Mithar (The Mithar Empire) and the Kingdom of Echelon (Echelon) are having trouble containing their ever-growing populace, and they both came up with the same solution: Expansion. Each explore the surrounding countryside to find suitable territory to claim. The believed cause for such a massive boom in growth is due to increased food as well as protection as a direct result of the peoples consolidating into their respective nations.
