I find it unsettleing that this is the cause for so much celebration. Admittedly, it's justice served, but it's not the end of anything, and Osama was nver really involved in anything aside from funding certain cells. 7/7 and 9/11 were indirect at best in his involvement, when you consider everything, and it's a known fact that he had to hire mercenaries to pose in his videos, in order to make his cell look more powerful. This whole war on terror mlarcky that's had us tearing up half the middle east isn't over, because Osama wasn't terrorism, the media has just made him the face of it. I'm glad "justice has been served", but I'm also cynical. If anything this will spark greater support for fundamentalism, because he's been martyred. Far better than he be captured, but that's a little late.

I wake up and I read THIS I was at first pretty euphoric. It's still good news, but I'm unsure if this will actually stop Al-Qaeda. Not to mention the possibility for retribution attacks. I do agree with Teutonic though. Better that he was captured alive. According to Nu.nl (Dutch news source), he resisted arrest and was shot in the head for it, so I'm not sure that that is the Americans' fault.
