OOC: Canti, Drylts was evacuated before my forces arrived. I said that all civilians in the south of my country had either died or fled. IC: Drylts Theomer King and his 950 Riddermacht form up on the left of the Dwarven army as it marches to the assembled vampire host. Thror II and the Dwarves, though and enduring, are utterly unaffected by Amelia's display of power as they meet the vampire host in battle. The Vampires quickly realize that the average Dwarven warrior is greatly superior compared to the average Eodred footsoldier. Clad in heavy armor, the Dwarves have more experience and the combination of their brute strength and well-crafted blunt force weaponry (axes and hammers) have few problems cleaving the heavy vampire armor. The raw power that the Dwarves' crossbow bolts possess also inflict casualties much easier than the superior range of the Eodred Yeomen. The Dwarven lines have mixed Guardians and Phalanxes up front, with Axe Throwers and Crossbowmen behind them. The remaining Eodred footsoldiers also form up with the Dwarven lines. Dwarven Battlewagons are slightly behind their lines, ready for flanking. Thror is near the front, surrounded by his bodyguard, hacking and hewing away at the undead warriors. Some of the Dwarves also stay behind to guard their catapults as the rocks are doused with oil and set aflame before a fearsome volley is headed for the lines of the vampires.

Drylts Seeing the Lycans, King Cailan orders his Templars to charge at the beast (remmber Templars use sliver weapons and armor as do some high ranking chevaliers). Teyrn Loghain takes his chevaliers to flank the vampires attacking the dwarves.

Upon seeing the Templers join the fray, and the dwarves being flanked by the superior reach of the vampiric cavalry, the chapter master raises his battle hammer above his head. The whispering chorus of prayers immediately ceases. After a moment, the Crusader speaks, in a barely audible murmur; “Onward to meet our Lord, brothers. Send them to be judged.” With this, he spurs his warhorse down the ridge, and the knights soon follow, catching up to form an extended line, burnished armour shining with it’s own light, despite the absence of the sun. As the knights approach the vampire cavalry, they lower their straight silver lances, holding them perfectly level, poised at the line of vampires. As they impact, the Crusaders let out no battle cry; Death comes silently. Instead, the rending of armour, and the crash of impact screech through the air, and the sheer momentum of the charging knights brings them several ranks into the vampires, before shattered lances are discarded, and sword are drawn. Soon the Twilit crusaders are laying about them with their assorted weaponry, many still muttering prayers in between parries and ripostes.

OOC: How about Thror II and Amelia meet and duel each other briefly? Great time to exchange banter between the two. IC:
Outside Drylts As the Vampire Cavalry comes forward, the Battlewagons come in action and chase after them, sending axes and bolts their way. Phalanxes aboard the banner wagons also tried their best to skewer them, while their comrades on the ground, skilled in anti-cavalry warfare, used their great strength and long polearms to great effect to minimize the damage. Many Dwarves were trampled, but those nearby used their small size to an advantage to literally cut the power of the charge from under them. The phalanx, having battled monsters such as trolls in the caverns beneath Mount Thorin, hold fast against the Lycan assault. Some dwarven troops are slain, but a good deal still hold fast. Though the Death Dealers were still quite damaging to the Dwarven lines, even they realize that the average Guardian was a far more ferocious fighter than the average levied footman. Despite the vampires' efforts, the advance of the Dwarves was not halted, as still they moved against their enemies, covered by the occasional flaming boulders that passed overhead and smashed into the undead ranks. The Yeomen and Riddermacht Riders also turn their bows skyward to bring the fellbeasts down. Most of the converted wounded that the vampires send their way are also brought down, purely by nature of the injuries they suffered during the initial fighting. Theomer King also witnesses the impact of the vampire cavalry, and sees his chance. He raises his sword into the black air. "Death!" he cries, and his cries are returned to him, as the horses of the Eodred reach gallop speed, charging into the unguarded lines of the vampires, supporting their Teutonic allies. Many battlecries are heard, as the Riders bear a deep hatred for the vampires and dedicate their actions to their fallen, converted and mutilated brothers in arms.

ooc: i've added a bit to my stuff, bios military and misc. North Neo NibuTom & Fili's locationTom: By Osiris's beard, those crazy blood suckers! *Tom regains his composure* Tom: Fili is it? Listen, my nation is Tom, Tom Cruise. I can Captain of the Desert Rangers, we roam the desert of North Neo Nibu to keep an eye on things within our lands. I am personally mortified by this assault. Listen, some of the nobles favor Vampires, so we need to be careful here. I will take you to General George Washington he is a friend of Dwarfs, he will make sure we get this to the Pharaoh. ----------------------------------------- Near Captain Hanssen location20 Desert Rangers mounted on Mau (large cats native to North Neo Nibu more in info page) are riding out scanning the area, reports from local Khajiit of shadow figures moving in the night. *Suddenly shouting is here off in the distance* Lt. Blackstone: Hmm, almost wana say that's was a human, what do you think Dan? Private Dan: Yea I think its coming from over yonder. The group take off in the direction of the noise. (ooc: seattile: before I have them meet up, is it just the 3 of them and one dog left then? And I couldn't find where or if you have more info on the 'Maleficars') ---------------------------------------------- Holy Neotopia PalaceThe Pharaoh Lazarus, his daughter Princess Juliana, and General George Washington sit around the Seer Stone in discussion while watching the scenes of fighting taking place in Drylts. Princess Juliana: Look at the Vampires ravage the land, they are truly fearsome fighters. General George Washington Laughs: Those blood suckers will consume the world, why do we sit here? Dwarfs too stand with man in their hour of need. Princess Juliana: You would stand with them? HUMANS? *Princess Juliana has a slightly disgusted look on her face* Washington: Can you not see it's not about that, what happens when the last man dies? Who then will they feed on? Juliana: The Vampire Council has been friends of ours, the very idea of a Vampire feeding on a Khajiit is absurd. Besides the sooner man is removed the safer it will be for us. You know how they are, and their primitive fears of Necromancy. *turns to her father* Juliana: They would have left you dead to us, than bring you back as Osiris did, not to mention man has a habit of calling Osiris a demon. They are all blasphemers!! Washington: Forgive me Princess Juliana, Pharaoh Lazarus, if I speak out of turn, but perhaps it is time to give man another chance? Shall the sins of the father forever be upon the son? Holding this grudge against the humans for grievances of the past, what if this darkness come to our walls, where then shall we turn?

OOC: Nibu, your Golden Gate pic in your factbook isn't showing up by the way. BTW, is Fili present at the meeting? And my emissary (until Canti killed him) also partially came for one of the seeing stones. @ Canti: A Ring Wraith is simply another name for the Nazgul. What were you planning to say? Lastly, the extent of the Witch King (and Sauron/Morgoth's) necromancy was like raising barrow-wights. And I was hoping I didn't have to resort to an Eowyn character. IC: Outside Drylts Despite the horrifying entry of more Nazgul, the combined charges and raw power of the Dwarves meant that the battle was still going evenly. In fact, seeing their slain comrades rise up and join the ranks of the undead filled the Dwarves with an unearthly rage. The combined charges on the vampire lines also severely compromised the force's integrity. Vampires fall before the silver weaponry possessed by the Teutonic Order while the large numbers of Riddermacht grant them a large presence. The Dwarves also respond to the increased arrow fire and siege weaponry with more crossbow bolts, axes and flaming boulders (note that Dwarven catapults fire two boulders at a time). It is clear that all combatants are taking heavy losses, and fast. Thror II witnesses the approach of Amelia and readies his axe. The charge narrowly evades him and Barazanthual (his silver and jewel encrusted axe) hews one of the horse's legs (better that they face on foot- Theomer kind of sucks when dismounted anyway). Amelia and Thror then duel on foot. Thor has the advantage of raw power and high-quality armor, while Amelia is speedier. "The Dwarves have something to say about your heartless assaults!" he yells. Theomer feels himself crash into the ground as the Witch King's fellbeast, brought down as Order Warrior Kazi froze its wing, crushes Eodred horseman and vampire alike. Both Kings stand up, Theomer with his gold, silver and emerald-encrusted sword Orcrist drawn. Order Warrior Talvi had just impaled a vampire on an icy spike when a chilling roar passed the battlefield. His eyes widened with fear as he knew the cry, and it was not the screech of the fellbeasts. He gazed toward the heavens, as a ray of ice shot down and struck some vampires. What at first was fear, was now hope. The rumors were true after all. Three cold-drakes, Order Warriors mounted, descended from the heavens, devastating the battlefield with their freezing breath.

OOC: This battle needs more epic battle sequences, and for lack of anything else to role play in this battle....
The chapter master, his horse long since brought down, now fights on foot. His battle hammer, wrought from magic to be near weightless, whilst withholding the force to crush armour and skulls alike, simply cleaves through his foes defences, shattering shields and blades with ease, before returning to deliver a killing blow. After slamming his hammer into the skull of a lycan mauling one of his brothers, he turns to see the witch king confronting Theomer. Murmuring a prayer, he surges forward, catching a vampire’s blade on his hammers haft, before turning the blade and driving the pommel spike through the creature’s helmet. He barely breaks stride as he offers a prayer to the soul about to be judged, amd pushes on, in the hope of saving the king from the wraith’s undead hands. After battling through the melee, the master soon finds he has overextended himself. The duel appeared closer than it was, and now he finds himself isolated from his brothers, amongst the Eodred horsemen as they struggle to break the undead spear line. He stops to catch is breath, taking a moment to get his bearings, but his reverie is broken as a massive force crashes into his side, sending him hurtling to the ground, his hammer falling from his hands. He turns, in time to see a massive lycan loom over him, fangs bared, preparing to crush him. The knight acts on instinct, before the blow can fall. Letting out a guttural yell, he forces himself up, wrapping his gauntlets around the creature’s throat, using his sheer momentum, and the weight of his armour to carry the creature over. A small part of his mind whispers that he cannot grapple with this beast; he is not strong enough to defeat it. He will die here. The voice is quickly silenced by his resolve, as the lycan claws at his armour, rending deep gauges in his silver cuirass, buckling the polished silvered steel. The chapter master grunts with effort, raising a fist as the other is wrapped firmly around the creature’s neck, and bringing it crashing down on its snout. The lycan howls, rolling away, its jaw shattered by the crushing blow. Seeing his opportunity, the Crusader moves like lightning, darting behind the creature, leaping upon its back, and wrapping his arm around the fiend’s neck. The lycan’s howl quickly turns to a gurgle, as it bucks and scrabbles at the knight, whose weight and strength slowly choke it from life. Its struggles become weaker and weaker, and soon its motion ceases. The master grunts, and wrenches his arm, snapping the massive changeling’s neck. He stands, trembling, finding his hammer, and dragging it from the trampled mud. He is weary after the fight. His arms feel like rubber, and his legs ache. His armour is rent and torn, and caked in mud, and gore, his helmet lost in the fray, but nevertheless, he carries on, determined not to let the king fall alone in his struggle.

OOC:@ Nibu, yes there is only three of them and a dog left, the three Templars are a Human (Hanssen), a Dwarf, and a Elf. I was planing on haveing the maleficars ambush the Templar group at sometime or another, even though a Seattilan Wolfhound has a good sense of smell and hearing. @: everyone. Remember the Templars and Chevaliers are only a part of the Seattile army.
IC: On a hill over looking Drylts, the rest of the Seattile army arrives on the battlefield. Along with their Orzammar Dwarf allies and the Circle of Magi. At the head of the army is the Legion of the Dead and their ten Golems (living seige weapons), who with only the persuasion of King Cailan left Orzammar (about 500 Legionares), to fight the vampires. The leader of the Seattile army that just arrived is Teyrn Brice Cousland. "Men, Dwarves and Evles of Seattile, today we fight a enemy that looks at you as food. I know you are wondering why we are so far from our Kingdoms, but I tell you. If they win here then they could go west and attack our homes! We can not allow that to happen! Now we must join our king and fight the demons!" a horn sounds the charge of the Seattile infantry with their Wolfhounds and the Dwarves of Orzammar with their Golems. The Longbowmen take positions up on the hill and set up wooden stakes in front of them and pikemen on their flanks to protect them from enemy calvery charges, and a few pikemen in front of them to protect them while they setup defenses and fire their arrows at the vampires.
