So it has been an exciting two weeks in the FRA with plenty of news to give.
First off Chin-Chillas has been tirelessly promoting the Defender Awards 2011 and we have had a staggering sixty two (62) confirmed nominations for the thirteen (13) coveted awards. Nominations are now sadly over, but voting has just began so don't forget to head down to the FRA forum, or alternatively voting for the first time can now be done by sending your vote to the nation 'Ballot Collector'. So there is no excuse not to vote, remember you only have until the 15th February to cast your vote.
I'd like to welcome our new member regions to the FRA. The United States has formally been accepted as a member region and we look forward to a productive and long lasting alliance. I'd also like to welcome back The Rejected Realm as a fully fledged member after their status was upgraded from 'protectorate'. SO congratulations to these two regions.
The assembly has recently voted to change the way protectorate regions become member regions. After the complicated, confusing and often contradictory wording of the previous bill and fall out from The Rejected Realms application, the Assembly decided to clear up the issue and streamline the way regions can decide to upgrade their status.
The Intel ministry has been working tirelessly and is looking to expand its ranks. So if you want to get involved contact Cocodian. The rangers have been busy as usual defending various regions across Nationstates taking part in a number of defences working tirelessly to protect those unfortunate to have been targeted by raiders. One important promotion however, has been of Chin-Chillas who reached the criteria to become eligible for the highest rank within the Rangers. As a result you may have seen his promotion vote being delivered to every member regions forum and his vote becoming opened up to every single citizen, not just member Representatives. I'm happy to say Chin-Chillas was successfully promoted and becomes only the second person in FRA history to receive the rank, and the only active ranger to hold the rank.
Our Regional Recruiting Office has been working tirelessly to attract new regions while our Vice Chancellors have been working abroad to increase our presence abroad.
This update has seen the return of our beloved Mr Men and Little Miss.
