History:
Old Earth
In the year 3568, the CIW was impacted by a mysterious meteorite composed of an alien crystal. It was named Tiberium, after its discoverer Tiberius. Tiberium was a rare and valuable crystal that, despite severely terraforming the surrounding area, made the CIW an exceptionally economically powerful nation due to its contained growing and selling of Tiberium crystals. However, a militant group known calling themselves Brotherhood of the Black Hand led by a mysterious, messianic individual, stepped forth to oppose the CIW. The Brotherhood believed Tiberium was the path to salvation, and believed it should be spread among the world. The CIW engaged the mysterious Brotherhood in an extended, horrific civil war, that, through use of the Brotherhood's Tiberium weaponry, devastated large areas of the country. Before the crystal could spread beyond the CIW borders however, scientists discovered the resonant frequency of the crystal, and this was quickly converted into military uses. The CIW decisively beat back the Brotherhood in what would later become the end of the so-called Tiberium Civil War. Though the crystal was able to be contained, it was never effectively eliminated. Large portions of the CIW countryside, though thankfully devoid of Tiberium, left most of the country barren.
Tiberium infestation:
World War Six
The CIW continued to abstain from nuclear weapon use after the death of national hero Count Sudooku. Though the CIW fought valiantly during Sixth World War, they too were exiled to ND-164.
ND-164 and the Fragmentation War
Upon their arrival to ND-164, the CIW started to disintegrate at an alarming rate as discontent and anger about the exile took their toll on the people and the leaders. A series of destructive wars were fought. The result of this Fragmentation War: The CIW was no more, reduced to a dozens of squabbling tribes stuck with 20th-22nd century technology. Eventually, the other New Trav Khar powers ignored the CIW lands, reduced to a shadow of its power. Some decided to move to the islands in search for a better future, but never returned. Several years after that, pirate attacks began to plague the coasts of the land claimed by the former CIW.
The Arrival of the Watcher
Life was incredibly difficult at this state. Especially on the southern landmass, monster attacks were incredibly dangerous. The northern continents had slightly more time to prosper as the jungles had been devastated during the extensive bombing campaigns for the Fragmentation War. Intertribal conflict still plagued both tribes over the course of hundreds of years. Shortly before the arrival of the Watcher, around thirteen states remained, not counting the pirates of the Hahli and Tajun islands.
After the Watcher had visited the southern landmass, the 7 remaining chieftains decided to combine their forces, and decided that greatness could only be achieved if they cooperated. They then set their sights on the pirate hub.
The Pirate War
The Pirate War was drawn out and exhaustive. The southern landmass had overwhelming numbers at their disposal while the Pirates fought with better technology (later revealed to be jury-rigged stolen technology from Gonzdara and New Neo Nibu) and had excellent knowledge of surroundings, easily leading their enemies into traps and ambushes. Through sheer attrition, the pirates were defeated and their islands absorbed into the Southern Coalition,as the chieftains called themselves.
The North-South War
Soon, the decision was made to invade the northern landmass, around the time when the New Trav Kharian Chieftains held their conference. However, the Watcher had visited the northern landmass as well, and thus the Southern Coalition faced a well-equipped and determined enemy. Though the Southern Coalition had once more a number advantage, the Northern forces were much better supplied and equipped. Twelve years of bloody, inconclusive fighting ensued. The North-South War halted when a Northern invasion force meant to take the islands got caught in a storm and landed on the Southern landmass, wreaking heavy devastation on its cities. An uneasy two-year truce was reached. Half a year before the truce ended however, the Northern Coalition was invaded by a party from Gonzdara seeking escaped alien slaves. Though the Gonzdaran forces were defeated in the skirmish, the event sent a message to the Northern Coalition- New Trav Khar was reforming, and they were getting left behind. The Southern Coalition realized the same thing through visuals received from Nova Island. Once more, the North and the South took the Watcher's word to heart, and decided to unite. The Confederacy was reborn.
Unification
Upon reforming to a state similar to its predecessor, the Confederacy of Independant Warlords, the leaders decided the name unrepresentative, and decided to symbolize the new power of the nation in that of the CIW's old national animal. Thus the Kardas Confederacy was founded in the year 5319.
The Confederacy, having abstained from nuclear weaponry even after the death of Sudooku, is quite bitter at the rest of the nations of Trav Khar for their unrestrained nuclear warfare. As such, the people felt the New Earth Empire had betrayed them for punishing them for a crime they did not commit.
Though many of Sudooku's policies remain, his optimistic foreign policy has been discarded, and the Kardas Confederacy, for the time being remains bitter and somewhat distrustful to all nations in on ND-164. Should the New Earth Empire decide to attack ND-164 however, it is unsure which side the Confederacy should choose.
Recent History
A map of the confederacy before ND-164 moved to the Solarius system
One of the first actions of the Confederacy is to sign a trade agreement with Gonzdara. The Confederacy later forms an alliance and trade agreement with New Seattille, after they send a message of peace to all nations of New Trav Khar, that is largely ignored. After the other nations saw the prosperity of Gonzdara and the Confederacy in their trade, a burst of trade started between Seattille, Gonzdara, the Confederacy, the Szers, and the Vladimir Empire. However, this increase in planetwide trade attracts the attention of large forces of Space Pirates who attack New Trav Khar all at once. The Confederacy and the rest of New Trav Khar sends forces to attack the Pirates.
Gonzdara sends a request of temporary alliance to end all international conflicts so that they may focus themselves on destroying the invaders. Asn Szer, the Kardas Confederacy, and Seattille join the alliance.
The Confederacy is able to handily defeat the pirates, and soon sends several Commanders to attack the Vladimir Empire at the request of Gonzdara as they were hiding the pirates. Despite taking heavy damage due to the Death Star, the Confederacy and its allies Seattile and Gonzdara manage to prevail against the Vladimirs. However, the Vladimirs call for the New Human Empire in their desperation. The Confederacy moves their citizens to ND-165 and the CES Beleriand space station to avoid the NHE. The Confederacy also uses chemical weaponry on its territories to make an illusion that the Confederacy had been eradicated. Undaunted, the New Human Empire begins to drain the resources of New Trav Khar.
A personal meeting was called on ND-165 between all of the Nations to decide what to do about the New Human Empire draining New Trav Khars resources. The Curumo enters several suggestions before agreeing with President Eden's Operation Pinball idea, where an asteroid strike is supposed to transport ND-164 out of the reach of the NHE. Commander Karn of the Vladimir Empire disagrees and reveals himself to be part of a group called the Titans. He then leaves before the meeting chamber is under attack. Curumo teleports to the fleet, and Dickinson takes over via hologram.
Operation Pinball succeeds, but the CES Beleriand and several Confederate Governors are lost during the Titans' attack. As the Confederacy began to claim territories in Omega and Eden, it experiences trouble in the form of a Gonzdaran clone of Curumo, dubbed Kurumo by Supreme Commander Anduril. Curumo resigns to avoid the confusion and Dickinson is instated as Governor-General of the Confederacy. Kurumo is later tracked down and killed with the Confederate forces that he convinced.
Despite signing a secret treaty with the Titans and testing new tech on a secret attack with the Titans on the Triple N Society, the Confederacy sends several squads to a massive Titan factory that had been polluting Eden's water. The Titans are suddenly destroyed by the CIC, who ask for an alliance. Dickinson accepts and travels to the CIC, as does New Seattile.
Bios
Head of State- Christopher Curumo. Title: Governor General. Rumored to be descended from Sudooku. Christopher Curumo was born in the Iconox region, and grew to be an ambitious man. Curumo also served in the Iconox military as a Lieutenant for a section of Cataphract tanks. After finishing the years required for conscription, Curumo used his military credibility to acquire a career in the regional government and, through careful use of alliances and influence, made his way to become the Governor of Iconox, making him the Iconox representative of the Separatist Council. With skilled political maneuvering, Curumo was able to become Governor-General of the Kardas Confederacy when the old Governor-General retired. Curumo distrusts the other states on ND-164. Though he appears to be concerned mainly for the power of the Kardas Confederacy, Curumo cares for the well-being of those he was placed in charge of and fully believes that his actions are for the good of the Confederacy and for New Trav Khar. He is also an eloquent speaker, making full use of word subtleties. Though he may appear courteous and polite at first glance (similar to Sudooku), this is but a facade. Inside, Curumo is quite distrustful, cynical and slightly manipulative. Curumo looks similar to Sudooku, but is younger (being in his late 40s) and his hair hasn't grayed out yet. His hair is a lighter brown.
A sketch of Curumo in a bad mood.
Military leader- Kaine Anduril. Title: Supreme Commander. Anduril is a long-time ally of Governor-General Curumo, as both were born in the Iconox region. Anduril obtained an officer education, and served in the Iconox military as a Forward Battle Commander (a lower commander who is actually present at the battle). Though they served under different commanders, Anduril and Curumo met during their military years, and quickly found out that they had similar ideas for their nation, and formed a partnership of some sort. Anduril ascended the officer ranks with a combination of merit and support from Curumo when he was still a member of the Iconox regional government. Upon Curumo’s ascension to Governor-General, he appointed Anduril as his Supreme Commander, giving him the top military post in the Kardas Confederacy.
Separatist Council Members (Title: Governor) and the regions they represent:
Ralf Dickinson- Formerly Governor of Iconox, now Governor of Southern Eden- Served as a Glatorian fighter ace, and completed his degree in history shortly afterward. Known to be rather informal, energetic and witty, Dickinson managed to receive the post of Governor by his own merit. He acted as Governor-General of the Confederacy during the Kurumo Crisis, though Curumo is once again Governor-General.
Lauris Kotipelto- Formerly Governor of Kunor, now Governor of Governor of Southern ND-164. Served as a Hazard Raider in the Kunor forces, before ascending the political ladder.
Ian Kursch- Formerly Governor of Cardolan, now Governor of Western Omega
Bruce Kiske- Formerly Governor of Kojol, now Governor of Northern ND-164 and the islands of Halhi and Tajun.
Hans Gillan- Formerly Governor of Karda, now Governor of the Southern Eden.
Simone LaBrie- Formerly Governor of Caparar, now Governor of Northern Eden.
Roland Allen- Hailing from Solek, Governor of Eastern Omega.
Jorn Barlow- Hailing from Barakis, Governor of Dagorath.
Matthew Lande- Hailing from Gorast, Governor of Middle Omega
Others-
Preston Certavus- prominent commander hailing from Cardolan.
Andreas Hansen- prominent commander hailing from Kojol. Favors the use of armored vehicles.
Gerard Helryx- prominent commander hailing from Karda. Skilled in naval combat.
Kiva Hietala- prominent commander hailing from Atero, Favors aerial warfare.
Michael Turilli- prominent commander hailing from Ainor. Favors infantry tactics.
Alexei Midak- Admiral of the Confederate Space Fleet.
Government
The Kardas Confederacy is an autocracy. The Head of State is selected by the Council of Separatists, which is the governing body of the Confederacy. If the Head of State is incapacitated, the Supreme Commander takes over leadership duties until a new Head of State can be selected. Essentially, this places the Confederacy under martial law for the time being. If the Supreme Commander is also incapacitated, the regional leader that contributes the most to the well-being of the Confederacy is bestowed leadership powers for the time being.
The Council of Seperatists is composed of the 14 leaders of the Confederate regions. These lead what used to be the former tribal territories. This is kept out of tradition, and gives the regional leaders some autonomy as well. In this sense, the Confederacy lives up to its name by being composed a collection of mini-states. This leaves them especially vulnerable to squabbles and infighting however. Many of the Council Members also have links to Confederate industries.
Domestic Policy
Curumo's government balances the needs of a strong economy with the needs of the people. Curumo understands that to remain righteous and destined for greatness, one cannot treat one's own with ruthlessness. Large selections of forest have been cleared by industry however (resulting in a landscape composed largely of plains), as the Confederacy is not overly concerned with the environment. More economic freedom is present than in the old CIW, while civil rights are slightly less. Life in the Confederacy is very efficiency-based, with a strong emphasis on hard work. Success and promotions are very merit-based, to inspire a hard-working population that can compete with the rest of New Trav Khar.
Economy
The Kardas Confederacy is quite wealthy as a result of aggressive trade vouching. The Confederacy's economy is based on the extraction of mineral resources, as opposed to manufacturing. The two main exports from the Confederacy are green nova crystals, which are sometimes used as a form of currency, and carbon, extracted from both trees and rocks to form, for example, duraplast, a material used for building. Tiberium is another export, but it's extremely limited due to the invasive nature of the crystal.
The Kardas Confederacy has little nationalized industries, so competition between mining industries is heavy. Labor droids are used extensively.

Tiberium
In the year 3568, the CIW was impacted by a mysterious meteorite composed of an alien crystal. It was named Tiberium, after its discoverer Tiberius. Tiberium is a rare and valuable crystal that, despite severely terraforming the surrounding area, made the CIW an exceptionally economically powerful nation due to its contained growing and selling of Tiberium crystals.
Tiberium is a dense "dynamic proton lattice" held together by exotic heavy particles. When Tiberium comes into contact with other matter, the heavy particles randomly collide with the nuclei of the target matter, smashing it to pieces (in the case of smaller nuclei) or incrementally knocking off protons or neutrons (in the case of heavier nuclei). Tiberium captures a fraction of the protons that are ejected during this collision process and incorporates them into its own structure, thus transmuting matter into more Tiberium. Whenever one of the heavy particles — a muon or tauon — collides with an atomic nucleus, fission occurs, which results in the production of alpha, beta, and gamma radiation as well as other forms of electromagnetic radiation (like infra-red). During the transmutation process, nuclei that Tiberium has come into contact with may be changed into nuclei with different (usually fewer) numbers of protons or neutrons.
This Tiberium also spreads by spreading underground veins, which tend to mass beneath the surface of Earth and, when the concentration is high enough, breaching the surface, creating open, gaping rifts which spread Tiberium crystals around them.
If Tiberium contamination levels are high enough, Tiberium glaciers will start to appear. These are vast, towering Tiberium deposits that have engulfed the soil beneath them and created 'glaciers'. These fissures create huge barriers for anyone foolish enough to try and cross these regions on foot. Tiberium glaciers, like Ion Storms, are beginning to intrude into Yellow Zones that border Red Zones
Tiberium 'lives' and 'grows' by a particular way of sucking up nutrients from the ground, leaving it bare and unsuitable for agriculture. The end result of this unique leeching process is that the Tiberium crystals can be easily harvested for industrial means with the minimum of mining expense. It is as if Tiberium performs the mining process for the Harvester, with significantly greater efficiency than can currently be counted upon.
The Tiberium refining process begins with the dumping of the harvested raw Tiberium into a Tiberium Refinery. There the crystals are melted down creating a thick, clay-like sludge that is transferred afterwards to the melting furnaces, which turn the now safe Tiberium into anything that it is needed for.
However, outcroppings of Tiberium release odorless gases as they appear. While Tiberium was originally considered harmless (and perhaps even beautiful to some due to its unearthly shimmering sparkles), these fumes will heavily poison any human that ventures through it. Radiation can become a dangerous factor as well in higher concentrations of Tiberium.
Long-term low-level exposure to Tiberium causes illness of various systems amongst all terrestrial life. As the exact mutagenic means by which Tiberium affects terrestrial biology are largely unknown, treatment is generally restricted to alleviating the symptoms rather than curing the cause. Unfortunately, this means that victims of Tiberium poisoning almost uniformly experience a gradual decline over a number of years until eventually succumbing to the effects.
One weather effect caused by Tiberium is a violent and unpredictable weather effect called the Ion Storm. Ion Storms are caused by the presence of Tiberium based gas in the atmosphere. When the saturation of Tiberium in the air reaches a certain level, the chance of a devastating electrical storm called an Ion Storm rises. It is unknown precisely what factors trigger an Ion Storm. The Ion Storms proliferate in areas of heavy Tiberium contamination, namely Red Zones.
Regardless, when the Ion Storm begins, the sky is obscured by Tiberium gas clouds and lightning strikes proliferate. Random meteorite strikes may also take place. The most dangerous effect of the Ion Storm is that it renders all radar imaging inactive due to electromagnetic interference as well as the build up of electrical charges in the atmosphere literally knocks aircraft from the sky. In addition, all hovering vehicles crash to the ground (or drown if they are unfortunate enough to be over bodies of water).
If a human comes into direct contact with Tiberium, the green matter will start to fuse with their skin within about 20 seconds. An intense burning sensation will be felt. A full infection will manifest if the victim isn't treated immediately. The flesh will begin to take on a glassy-greenish appearance as it begins to crystallize; eventually internal organs will shut down as Tiberium extends rigid crystalline runners throughout the body. If the crystal is breathed in, then it will become embedded in the lungs. The ability to process oxygen will be lost as the lung tissue crystallizes. Eventually the subject will hemorrhage to death.
The Kardas Confederacy makes heavy use of processed Tiberium, not only for civilian use, such as building construction, but also more exotic uses in the military. Generally, Kardas Confederacy vehicles are constructed of a tough Tiberium composite alloy thought to be secondary only to pure Cerarillium in terms of toughness. Tiberium is also what powers Confederacy vehicles. Furthermore, it is known that ionized Tiberium powers the Confederacy's particle beam weaponry and ion cannons. Tiberium is also responsible for the Confederacy's heavy use of sonic weaponry, as sonics set to the resonance frequency of Tiberium can decontaminate areas that have been infested.
Raw Tiberium is also thought to be present in the Confederacy's chemical missiles, but these have not been used yet.
Foreign Policy
As opposed to domestic policy, the Confederacy is ruthlessly pragmatic and profit-driven. It seeks good economic relationships with other nations of Trav Khar, but is reluctant to enter any alliance that does not grant the Confederacy a significant benefit. It is mainly self-serving. The Kardas Confederacy is very economically focused, and seeks to be an economic powerhouse on the planet.
Alien policy
Aliens are generally regarded as immigrant workers. Though discrimination of aliens is forbidden by Curumo (in the hope of raising the Confederacy's interstellar reputation), aliens have no political rights and are forbidden to run for a political office (which is a small step down however, from the citizenry's political rights)
Technology
The Kardas Confederacy lags behind somewhat compared to other nations due to their practical focus on technology. The Confederacy exceeds most, if not all nations in some technologies however, for example Tiberium harvesting and processing technologies and sonic resonance technology. The Confederacy is also incredibly advanced in the field of electromagnetism. Robotics and Artificial Intelligence technology is also used, but is still basic. Energy is mainly generated from nuclear fusion. While the Confederacy has no stealth technology, it does make use of camouflage for its infantry and vehicles. Additionally, the Confederacy has acquired deflector shield technology and uses it for important ground-based installations and capital ships.
Geography
The northern landmass is very mountainous and rugged. Geological maps indicate that volcanic activity was once plentiful on the landmass, indicated by chains of long-dead volcanoes. These are rich in iron and magnesium, as mainly mafic lava flows emerged from them. Numerous plains extend where there were once bountiful jungles. As a result, much of the indigenous wildlife has become endangered. The region is also highly urbanized. The islands are similar, but are less barren.
The southern landmass is much more untouched than the northern landmass. The landscape is smoother, and less mountainous. The extent of deforestation is smaller than the northern continent, and urban settlements are more spread out as a result.
A more developed section of a city:
The Confederacy's cities in Omega are below-ground, are constructed very defensively in case of a worm coming through.
On Eden, life goes on much like it went on ND-164.
On ND-164, some of the cities have been rebuilt and decontaminated, but tiberium still dominates the landscape. Many sonic emitters can be found outside the reconstructed cities.
On ND-164 land has been reclassified into three zones arranged along to tiberium contamination levels:
Blue zones: Blue zones have been decontaminated of tiberium and are safe to live in.
Yellow zones: Climatic conditions in most Yellow Zone areas border on uninhabitable, particularly near the edges of Red Zones, where Ion Storms would often cross over.
Red zones: Red Zones are areas of the Confederacy that were contaminated by vast amounts of Tiberium, and are frequently hit with Ion storms. Venturing into, over, or even near these wastelands is extremely dangerous, especially for infantry vulnerable to Tiberium. Here, Tiberium levels are high enough for nigh-unremovable glaciers to appear.
Post-Operation Pinball and the destruction of the CES Beleriand, the Confederacy has relocated many people to the new moons. People of Karda, Iconox, Tesara, Cardolan and Caparar inhabit Eden. People of Metis, Solek, Gorast and Barakis inhabit Omega. The people of Atero, Piraka, Kunor, Kojol and Ainor have remained on ND-164.
Wildlife
Three predatory animals from the jungles:
Dromeo Hounds: Their lanky physique hides their powerful muscles, allowing them to reach speeds of up to 60 kilometers per hour. They are slightly bigger than larger dog variant and tend to hunt in packs of 4 to 8. Extinct.
Baryono Oxbeasts: An omnivorous sluggish creature characterized by its powerful forearms and apelike statue. They tend to hunt alone and are about as large as a small elephant. Extinct.
Charcharos Terror bird: Two species of terror birds exist. The lesser Terror Birds are somewhat bigger than a horse and hunt in packs. The Greater Terror Bird, feared by all, are almost legendary solitary animals. Though sluggish, their heavy footsteps are enough to make other creatures run in fear. They are also unimaginably tough and as large as a smaller house. Extinct.
Visceroid: A tiberium-based lifeform with sturdy, protective shell and three tentacles it uses to move. Visceroids were borne of special cases of humans with tiberium poisoning, but can reproduce on their own. They are agressive and can be found in Red Zones. They can self-detonate.
Tiberium Fiend: Agressive but intelligent, the Fiend is a horse-sized animal, resembling a dog, jackal, or wolf. The flesh is blackish or red, and the back is covered with pure Tiberium crystals, which fiends launch at enemies, causing severe damage as well as Tiberium poisoning. It lives in Yellow and Red Zones.
Military
The Kardas Confederacy is exceedingly practical in its military. Lasers are used little, and tracked vehicles are preferred over hover technology or mechas. The Kardas Confederacy makes extensive use of railguns and sonic weaponry.
Although the actual numbers of the Confederate military are classified, it is likely that millions are enlisted and that the Confederacy possesses hundreds of thousands of combat vehicles and thousands of aircraft.
All units are also equipped with a communication device that allows orders to be transmitted to them directly from the commanders that receive live videos from the battle to direct the fighting. The military also distinguishes itself by the wide variety of specialized units that it sports.
Some ranks:
Supreme Commander- head of all military forces.
Admiral- Head of the Navy OR Space fleet.
General- Head of regional forces.
Commander- directs individual battles.
Though the military is under overall command of the Supreme Commander and all units sport a unified look, each Confederacy region has its own armed forces and is responsible for them. These regions can be identified by their differing secondary colors:
Iconox: White, Cardolan: Navy, Kojol: Fuchsia, Caparar: Brown, Atero: Orange, Karda: Blue, Ainor: Grey, Tesara: Green, Piraka: Teal, Solek: Purple, Barakis: Cyan, Kunor: Red, Metis: Yellow, Gorast: Crimson
TACCOM: Founded by Lauris Kotipelto after Operation Pinball, TACCOM (Tiberium Anti-Contamination COMmand) is based in ND-164 to bring tiberium once more under control. While TACCOM uses Confederate military equipment, they provide all their troops with tiberium field suits and a modified Stratocaster. Given the nature of the organization, they have established several bases close to the Red Zones. It is rumored that TACCOM have been involved in the construction of a superheavy vehicle boasting New Trav Khar's first mobile Tiberium refinery.
OOC: For the curious, these are derived from various sources, mainly Command & Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars, Command & Conquer 4 Tiberium Twilight, Supreme Commander, Warhammer40K:Dawn of War, Star Wars, Halo and Starcraft.
Some units:
Army
Due to a large mineral and Tiberium supply, the Kardas Confederacy can afford to place emphasis on armored units within their military. Though Gonzdaran Cerarillium is stronger than the composite alloys that make up CIW armor, emphasis is still placed on unit durability. This often comes at the cost of movement speed. The primary color of the Confederate ground forces is tan.
Confederate Trooper, armored with Carapace Armor and equipped with a particle beam rifle effective against infantry. Can be equipped with a plasma gun (useful against heavy infantry armor) and a (sonic) grenade launcher. Operate in squads of 9 and a sergeant. They can also be equipped with EMP grenades. Estimated to be equal to New Seattile Enforcers and Vladimir troopers, they will lose to Triple N Society Soldiers, Asn Szer warriors and Gonzdarian Knights without a numerical advantage, backup, or heavy weapons:
Confederate Rocket Squad: The Confederacy's anti-armor unit if Hazard Troopers are unavailable. Also capable of taking down aircraft.
Confederate Sharpshooters: Equipped with a scoped railgun effective against infantry, but not armor due to small projectiles.
Confederate Engineer, equipped with body armor and a sidearm for grave situations. Able to repair vehicles and take over select installations:
Confederate Hazard Trooper: An elite unit clad in fully sealed Hazard Armor, made of the same composite as the Confederacy's Cataphract tanks. Wields a portable railgun. Often sent to destroy armor formations, but Hazard Troopers operate just as effectively against infantry. Equipped with Jump jets, newer Hazard Armor suits are also being equipped with Power Packs that increase resilience and offer limited healing and suit repair. Troopers can also be equipped with Scanners that detect stealthed units. Operates in squads of 4..
Confederate Hazard Raider, a variant on the Hazard Trooper armed with sonic grenades and anti-air rocket pods. The sonic grenades can also be swapped out for EMP grenades. Newer Hazard Armor suits are also being equipped with Power Packs that increase resilience and offer limited healing and suit repair. Raiders can also be equipped with Scanners that detect stealthed units.
Confederate Hazard Enforcer, a newer Hazard troop armed with a larger version of the automatic railgun. Excels in shredding through infantry and light aircraft. Newer Hazard Armor suits are also being equipped with Power Packs that increase resilience and offer limited healing and suit repair. Enforcers can also be equipped with Scanners that detect stealthed units.
Commando: A one-man army equipped with an advanced automatic railgun, effective against infantry due to small projectiles, portable explosives (for demolishing walker legs and buildings) and Jump jets. Commandoes are the results of a powerful training program, with a 22% fatality rate and 97% recruits never reaching the end of training. Typically, only one commando at a time will be allotted to a battlefield due to the high expense of equipping one, and in addition to the scarcity of such elite graduates. Even more scarecely they can be seen in pairs, often guarding important Confederacy members.
Cyborg
The results of the Confederacy's Project:Reanimation, where the deceased are rounded up and converted into obedient cyborg warriors. Tougher than regular Troopers but not as much as Hazard troops, They are equipped with an EMP cannon and a particle beam. They have currently not been deployed yet, but are usually fielded in squads of three.
Battle Droids
A creation of the Titans for the Kardas Confederacy, these are similar in make to CIC battle droids. The Confederacy considers these almost useless, and prefers to send them en masse to distract the enemy, while the Confederacy's human soldiers get the job done.
Equites RV: Reconnaissance Vehicle , equipped with a shrapnel cannon effective against small aircraft and infantry. It is also equipped with stealth-detection equipment:
Praetoria APC: Armored Personnel Carrier, armed with charged particle beams, effective against infantry and aircraft. Occupants can also fire from inside the vehicle:
Arcani Mobile EMP A medium-armored unarmed vehicle. created by the Kardas Confederacy specifically as a counter to the Titans' heavy use of mechanical units. It's EMP waves affect all mechanical units in an area however, including itself.
Contarius tank- A speedy medium tank with some transport capability that allows troops to fire from the tank, equipped with a railgun.:
Kardas siege tank- The replacement for the Hetairoi, a heavier tank equipped with two plasma cannons (a first for the Kardas Confederacy) that can transform into a deadly siege mode, where it becomes immobile, but allows access to the powerful Shock Cannon, which allows it to do massive damage from afar. Also well armored.
Hetairoi tank- Medium tank, equipped with a railgun. Now out of service:
Cataphract tank- Heavy tank, equipped with two railguns, a particle beam and missile pods. Large enough to crush other tanks, new technological developments have resulted in the tanks being equipped with adaptive armor, which grants defensive bonuses and EMP immunity if activated at the cost of a slowed fire rate:
Velite Anti-Air- Anti-air vehicle:
Stratocaster- Short-range Sonic artillery unit:
Gastraphetes Artillery Now out of service:
Rumor has it that the Confederacy has been constructing superheavy vehicles on Eden and Omega...
Navy
Once again, the Navy is the most expansive part of the Kardas Confederacy armed forces. With a powerful navy, the Confederacy hopes to achieve a trade advantage. Due to the spread nature of the Kardas Confederacy, it is also an integral part of the Confederacy's defense. The primary color of the Confederate naval forces is a steel blue. All Confederate Naval Vessels are designated with the CNS, which stands for Confederate Naval Ship
Hydruka-class torpedo boat (Light Anti-submarine):
Lohrak-class Cruiser (Medium anti-air, missile defense and detection):
Takea-class Battleship (Heavy bombardment and missile defense):
Protocairn-class Battlecruiser (Heavy support, direct anti-naval):
Zivon-class Submersible Aircraft Carrier:
Ranama-class submarine (Light anti-naval):
Kinloka-class submarine (Long range Tactical missile):
Skopio-class Transport craft:
Aircraft
Most aircraft are equipped with ceramic armor. The Kardas Confederacy airforce is mainly structured to support ground forces, as opposed to carrying out missions of their own. The primary color of the Confederate air force is tan.
Gukko Helicopter gunship: Generally a ground support vehicle, the Gukko has limited transport capabilities. Equipped with a particle beam. Occupants can also fire:
Hikaki Gunship: Meant for quick surgical strikes, the Hikaki is usually armed with a payload of missiles and sonic grenades. If those run out, it also has a chin-mounted particle beam, though it is difficult to target aircraft with it. Alongside these, Hikaki can also be loaded with sensor pods that allow for stealth-detection where they land:
Glatorian Fightercraft: The Confederacy's fast attack craft, designed as a fighter bomber. It is either equipped with a complement of either three bombs or six missiles, depending on its role. Recently, new modifications have given it incredibly heat-resistant armor, allowing for use in space as well and easy reentry:
Graalok Heavy Bomber: No longer produced (as its role has been taken by the Hyena), but still found in many Confederate air forces.
Ussal Transport Aircraft: The Confederacy's military transport aircraft, able to carry all except for artillery and heavy tanks:
Space Fleet
The current Confederate Fleet is made up of nine capital ships; 5 Frigates, 3 Carriers and one Dreadnought. The space fleet is the only Confederate military division that is not split into regional forces. All Confederate capital ships bear the moniker CES, which stands for Confederate Extraterrestrial Ship.
Ichtyo Fighter: The standard starfighter of the Confederacy, based on the Glatorian. Since the Glatorian fighters have received upgrades, these are no longer producted, but are still heavily in use on Confederate Carriers:
Vulture Interceptor: A fragile but very maneuverable craft that excels in taking down enemy starfighters. It has two particle beam cannons under the cockpit, and a complement of four seeker cluster missiles near the engines.
Hyena Starbomber: A more armored and efficient bomber than the Glatorian, Hyenas are usually used to destroy key points of capital ships. Recently, new modifications have given it incredibly heat-resistant armor, allowing for use in atmosphere as well and easy reentry.
Waikiru Armored Transport: Usually carriers some Confederate Marine Squads or Commandoes. Its heat-resistant armor allows it to operate in and reenter atmosphere.
Orca-class Cruiser. The cornerstone of the Confederate Space Fleet. Big enough to take care of themselves, fast enough to run from most anything that can squish it, the Orca-class sports three triple-rail gun emplacements for bombardment purposes and attacking capital ships. It also possesses three anti-starfighter emplacements on the top of the ship. Its heat-resistant armor allows it to operate in and reenter atmosphere. It is used as the base escort for capital ships. The craft can also easily reroute power to its shields and engines at the cost of disabling the weapon batteries. It is estimated that the Confederacy possesses several dozens.
Tarsonis-class Frigate. Notable for its Gungnir Cannon, a massive coilgun which possesses extreme anti-capital ship firepower. It also possesses several gun batteries. The 5 ships are named the CES Erebor, CES Lorien, CES Lindon, CES Harad and the CES Numenor:
Munilist-class Carrier . Defended by gun batteries and its fighter bays. The 3 ships are named the CES Ithil, CES Fornost and the CES Osgiliath:
Hyperion-class Dreadnought: Only one ship of this class exists, the CES Orthanc. Defended with gun batteries and its fighter bays, this is the flagship of the Confederacy:
CES Beleriand: The Confederacy's space station. Used as a docking station for the Confederate Space fleet. Destroyed at the start of the Titan War.
The Confederacy also possesses some repair platforms that orbit ND-164.
Unsorted
Missiles: Though somewhat outdated, the Confederacy retains a stock of explosive missiles and tiberium missiles. Tiberium missiles come in either a gas type that spreads deadly tiberium gas upon hitting its target, or the catalyst variant that detonates nearby tiberium fields, yielding explosive results. It is a potent tool should the Confederacy resort to scorched earth warfare on ND-164.
The Confederacy also retains Shockwave Artillery, which are in fact a type of missile in spite of their name. It is one cluster missile fired from a ground location that splits around a kilometer above its target. The missiles are not guided and hit locations closely around the target, causing some damage and an EMP.
Ion Cannon: The first one completed shortly before the arrival of the New Human Empire, the Ion Cannon serves as the Confederacy's superweapon. Ion cannons are found in low orbit hovering over Confederacy holdings.
The Ion Cannon has two firing modes. The first is commonly used by Commanders against ground targets. Initially eight secondary beams arranged in a circle gradually spin inwards until they join at the center, damaging targets inside the circle and ionizing the air they passed through and rendering it combustible. After that the primary beam fires and detonates the ionized air in the target area, causing a massive blast both inside and outside of buildings and vehicles. This was the first version of the Ion Cannon with a sufficient area of effect to level entire bases in a single strike. The second mode dispensed with the secondary beams altogether, designed as a more accurate tactical weapon, capable of sufficiently damaging capital ships.
Commanders are granted ion cannon access only in times of great need. Otherwise, the cannons can be remotely directed for space combat from three ground-side installations, one of which is close to Karadas Bay, the other in Northern Eden and the last on Dagorath.
Despite its destructive capability, the Ion Cannon is purely a tactical tool, possessing a smaller damage radius compared to 20th century nuclear weaponry. Additionally, the satellites need time to charge up the cannon. Lastly, the sattelites are small, and somewhat difficult to spot, but undefended save for the cannon itself.

History:

Once again, the Navy is the most expansive part of the Kardas Confederacy armed forces. With a powerful navy, the Confederacy hopes to achieve a trade advantage. Due to the spread nature of the Kardas Confederacy, it is also an integral part of the Confederacy's defense. The primary color of the Confederate naval forces is a steel blue. All Confederate Naval Vessels are designated with the CNS, which stands for Confederate Naval Ship
