@ Teutonic: You have a point, but keeping them empty (and useless by extension) is not something I'm keen about. We could place them under RPG Chief control (hence why I called them 'Computer Player nations'), or just the Mods of the Fantasy RP Board, which lessens my burden. And use of plot devices are great. This also allows us to further flesh out the world, adding more species and editing the good/evil balance. Of course players can ally or go to war with them to keep it interesting. We could perhaps do it risk-style, where people alternate between controlling nations. Simply to prevent others from extensively misusing them. @ Gonz: will give you pink lol kidding. Perhaps brown, tan or cyan. @ Austin: great suggestion, but I'd rather have the world exist as an alternate universe rather than a past version. I don't want to have dwarven bones pop up in the CIW.

Honestly Austin, I'm against it for two reasons: 1- I wanted to use the leftover spots for 'NPC' nations, such as Orcs, Wildmen, Centaurs, Ents, etc. 2- Your nation's already rather big- I'd rather give it to Empress Sarah if it was necessary for me to choose.
EDIT: These are the NPC nations I want to add: 9- Southeast: Clans of Wildmen 9- Middle: A type of Isengard run by Uruks- probably the dominant power in 9, but with the smallest territory 9- Northwest: Wild orc (Tolkienian, not Warcraft) territories
7- North: Ents 7- Southwest: Seattilan Werewolves 7- Southeast: How about some type of Dead Marshes? Mostly deserted, but with the occasional wight floating about.
17- Northwest- Dragon highlands 17- Northeast- Clans of Wildmen 17- Centaur lands 17- Southeast- Ogres!
How's all this sound?

The map doesn't update with "what's going on" if your occupying someone else's land in the rpg or something like that it doesn't make it yours on the official map.

Honestly though, I could keep the official map version, and add a quick map displaying nations' current areas of influence (conquest is probably the primary reason though) which I will edit hopefully every time a big conquest happens. I should have that (simpler) map up when after I flesh out the NPC territories. After peoples' approval of course

Kardas, I like your ideas for the "NPC" nations. Probably the thing that got me was the 'Seattilan Werewolves' in area 7. That would make sense as the Silver Knights in Southern Seattile can't stop all the werewolves in Southern Seattile and alot of werewolves would try to get out of Seattile.

I think that the npc nations would be a good idea but we would need to lay ground rules for going to war with them if that will even be allowed also who will control their decisions
