Well becuase your picking 3 north easts you will move in that directions. if you wanted to be more rounded a few regular...norths, souths and wests will take care of the that. but i wouldnt worry,

How does war work exactly? I declare war, they decide to defend or not, and dice determine who wins, and whoever wins gets some of the losers land of like an update moves worth or something? Or can only the attacker gain land?

WAR: say you decrale war on Sara. I would roll a dice. whoever is higher gets some land. The Attacker can gain an extra days worth of land. which means sara loses a days worth of land. However if the dice roll is not in his favor he could lose land, about half a days worth. If its a tie in the dice roll nothing happens.
