@ Canti: I was using my knowledge of physics and chemistry to come up with justifications as to why my troops might be able to penetrate those shields. In vain, by now And yes, I've noticed. Hence my change of heart in Fantasy. Still, I've two villainous plots lined up in Fantasy and FT once the current business is done. IC: GeneralThe CIC ships prompted ion cannon activations. While Confederate air power managed to counter the CIC craft away from the fronts, the CIC craft strafing Confederacy positions near the front were successful in damaging their targets. Crash SiteGiven that the Hazard troops were equipped with sonically resistant armor, the screech did little more than annoy the remaining troopers. However, the droidekas appeared to be nigh-invulnerable as the sonic grenades harmlessly bounced off their shields, while the shockwaves did not penetrate them either. Halford, examining from the Gukko, noted that their shields were likely combining both ray and particle shielding. "Sir, we have them," he just heard. "Good," Halford replied. "All troops, objective complete. Prepare to retreat." One of the other APCs moved to shield the Hazard Enforcers from the droids' fire so they could enter the transport. The Gukko began to take off and the Hazard Raiders jumped to the Gukko. Southern ND-164"Commander Schaffer! This is Governor Kotipelto. The catalyst missiles did the trick! The CIC force appears to be decimated, but attempting to move northward. Mop them up." Schaffer then gave the signal to deploy his air wings. Northern ND-164Hansen was in a pickle. He believed his forces to be well entrenched, and so far his Cataphracts were doing fine. However, the brutal frontal tactics of the CIC severely hampered his frontal defenses. The artillery bombardment and continuous reinforcements did not help matters. So far it looked like the reinforcements were outpacing his replacements. He looked at the ion cannon timer. Still not enough. He ordered the Cataphracts to converge towards the center, and his air support to take out the artillery positions. Hansen knew that if his force were taken out, Karadas Bay would be mostly open to an invasion. EdenHelryx and Certavus were again surprised to see the CIC turning around. They had been harrying them as CIC moved to Seattilan positions, and their harassment appeared to have significantly weakened the CIC force. Helryx understood that the CIC had no navy of their own to counter his ships, and with Certavus' air support, trusted in his ability to destroy the remainder. With that CIC force taken out, New Karadas would be safe. OmegaFive of the mining camps on New Solek had been destroyed, while the New Solek commander was so far unsuccessful in routing the CIC from the triple cluster. Six camps on New Metis had been taken out, with three in CIC hands and none in Confederate hands. In New Gorast, Commander Skolnick did take out the manage to destroy the triple mining cluster, but at severe losses to his air power. The CIC maintained control over two mining camps close to each other. Skolnick had managed to destroy the two remaining camps earlier on. Dagorath orbitMidak estimated at least five CIC capital ships were taken out, if not crippled by the Confederacy's opening volley. He knew of the fleet bombarding Karadas Bay, but felt the risk of splitting his forces too great.

Outpost Ascension The 16 man Enforcer squad, led by Second Lieutenant Henry Pershing have arrived outside of the bunker, Outpost Ascension, via two shuttles from the ship NSRS Pathfinder. "Alright men we need to figure what is going on here!" shouted Pershing in a loud and gruff voice. The squad than heads to the enternace that for some reason is wide open and dead bodies liter the area. The Lietenant orders a medic to inspect the bodies. A mdeic simply known as "Doc" runs up to a dead guard who has half his head chewed off. "Sir, looks like what ever killed these men is a animal with extreme power and has a taste for human flesh." As Doc is examing the body he notices a patch on the guard's shoulder "...And it looks like this place is operated by Destiny." "Destiny... Figures they are always trying something illegal... Sparks search any Destiny operations that fit this!" Sparks who is an advanced combat and support robot made up of multipule A.I programs searchs for any details on the most likely operation Destiny has here. "Searching... One moment... It would apear that the most likely operation may involbe the Rakghouls." Pershing than pauses for a second "Dang we don't have the Rakghoul serum with us. But maybe there is some inside. Alright ladies move out!" The squad than enters the main enterance of the bunker, the power is out, and two hallways splite off into different dirctions, so the enforcers splite into two groups of 8 and search the bunker for a way to turn the power back on and for the Rakghoul serum.
OCC: Would post more but I can't think of how to respond to other situations at the moment.

OOC: there is three squads of these and if you could get close they are extremly vulnerable ==================== Dagorath orbit the CIC ships that remained pulled into a defensive line spitting out volleys of scatter missles
Eden the CIC forces countinued evacuating heading to a small transport fleet with orders to take them to nd 164
Northern ND-164 anti air batteries opend up firing clusters of missiles at the incoming air forces ...meanwhile the artillery kept up their bombardment switching some of the fire to the Cataphracts ..the main forces also countinued to advance
Southern ND-164 some of the forces stoped and set up covering postions with inaccurate shoulder fired rockets (( very inacurate ))
Omega as the CIC entrenched themselves they sent out suicide tanks rigged with explosives these where the tanks that had been damaged
arieal and space bombardment s the CIC forces countiued pumping more mass reinforcemts or missles into the fight ((the stength is numbers and mass thats pretty much it with small exeptions ======= OOC : btw we could allways have a cold war or world war one type scenario ?

OOC: I'll write Hansen's part and the bombardment part later @ Seattile: No problem, you can see how punctual we are (not) in posting @ Canti: What? I don't get it. As for your scenario, I'm not interested in the WW1ish scenario, but a cold war scenario could work, at least if you stop attacking me ('cause this war's already hot)
Southern ND-164 Schaffer's air wings were on target to the CIC forces until a message came in. "Commander Schaffer! Retreat your forces! We are detecting the formation of an ion storm north of the CIC forces!" With this, Schaffer told his planes to retreat.
Crash site The remaining Hazard Enforcers entered the APC. The Gukko had already taken off and was flying back to TACCOM HQ. Shortly after, the APCs followed the Gukko. The droideka shots had punctured the transport compartment of the APC, but no real internal damage had yet manifested.
Omega Commander Skolnick sent a message to his co-commanders. "All forces retreat and reinforce the entrances. I shall request the use of the ion cannon to remove the last few camps. As for the incoming orbital fighters, do not engage unless they are endangering our holdings."
Eden Suddenly the CIC stopped moving toward New Karadas and took a new direction entirely. So far the orbital aircraft had been repelled by Certavus, and Commander Helryx believed the time had come to eliminate what was left of the CIC attack force entirely. He requested the use of shockwave artillery to stun the remaining transports and escorts to that he and Certavus could cleanly dispatch the rest.

OOC: Woo, only took a month to know what to write!
@ Canti: Done neither, but I do know the general outline of Dune's plot. Plus, Dune's spice was an inspiration for tiberium (as a super-valuable substance that everyone fights for)
Also Canti, how big is your fleet that's attacking Dagorath?
Northern ND-164, outside Karadas Bay Hansen cursed as most of his air force was torn to shreds by the CIC's AA. His Cataphracts were also taking a pounding from the artillery, but so far his unusually large numbers of Cataphracts seemed to be holding the line. Then came the moment he had waited for. The timer was done. The ion cannon was locked on to the area. Hansen chose it to attack at the largest cluster of CIC artillery, and hoped that this would present him an opportunity to take the initiative.
Eight beams arranged in a circle, hit the CIC. Then, the beams gradually spin inwards before the beams converged at the center, damaging CIC units inside the circle and ionizing the air they passed through and rendering it combustible. In the center, the primary beam then fired, and detonated the ionized air.
Northern ND-164, Atero province Incoming transmission, the AI said on Commander Hietala's command screen. Anduril appeared again. "Greetings Commander Hietala. You might be aware that the CIC is attacking Karadas Bay. We have sent Commander Hansen to defend our planetary capital there, but the CIC's overwhelming numbers are making his task very difficult. That is where you come in, Commander. I want you to use your air force to sweep around the back of the CIC force, and cut off their reinforcements. Good luck, Commander."
Southern ND-164 The sky above the remnants of the CIC force becomes obscured by Tiberium gas clouds. Tiberium crystal shards are picked up by the winds, and become deadly piercing objects. Lightning jumps from cloud to cloud and strikes random spots on the ground. The electrical intereference created by the storm knocks aircraft out of the sky and causes hover vehicles to crash.
TACCOM HQ With the remants of Halford's expedition having returned to TACCOM HQ, the bodies of Dickinson and his two aides were taken to the medical center to confirm if the extent of their injuries had been lethal. The commandoes were already receiving medical attention, and were being debriefed on the events on the CIC station.
Omega Being too fast for the tank cannons to track, the fighters returned to Confederate bases in a relatively good shape.
Eden In response to the CIC's attempt at defense, Helryx ordered his aircraft carriers to submerge. With any luck, his aircraft carriers and submarines could outspeed the CIC, and then emerge in front of them so they could attack from both sides. The CIC defenses were easy pickings for the long range of Helryx's battleships, and Helryx put his battlecruisers on standby. his request for shockwave artillery was granted, but Helryx decided to wait.

@ Austin: First off, cool that you want to give it another shot. Should I give a summary of what's happened since you left?
Second, I'm presuming Southern ND-164 is in the Kardas Confederacy (as I use the same descriptions), so I'll have to clarify a couple bits. First, since this planet got moved, the Kardas Confederacy on ND-164 has been overrun with tiberium, which is really dangerous (but valuable) stuff, to put it bluntly. I've given a description in my fact thread. Second, which mining thing are you attacking? If it's a tiberium mining operation you're attacking, you're facing harvester vehicles. Otherwise, it's a bunch of mostly unarmed droids somewhere underground.

OOC: @ Austin: You won. Definitely. However, how did your people get this far into the Kardas Confederacy without suffering from tiberium poisoning? There are only two locations on my map relatively free from poisoning, and those are at the coast. I mean, direct skin contact with tiberium causes you to die in minutes. The reason the KC are coping are because they have centuries of experience with the crystal, having containment devices (sonics) and tiberium field suits. Plus, at higher concentrations of the crystal, you also have to deal with tiberium radiation.
Also, on playing some Rise of Legends, I'm considering giving my lands on Omega a bit of a steampunk influence based on the Vinci in that game. Thoughts?

OOC:this talk of tiberium has reminded that Destiny got some tiberium from the Kardas Confederacy awhile back.
IC: Destiny Bunker Alpha Phantom sits at his desk looking over reports from all of Destiny's operations, two of which were of great importance and to run further stuides they were to fail by his orders, bunkers Ascension and Lota. Phantom already knew that Enforcers were at Ascension trying to quell the rakghouls but their efforts will be in vain as hundreds have escaped and are roaming area and heading for a Seattile research base. Lota which was holding raw Tiberium, was over ran by the Tiberium which was purposely released into the enviroment. As Phantom was in deep thought a hologram of James Henderson apeared infront of him. "Enough lies Phantom!" shouted Henderson in an angerly voice. "Excuse me?" repiled Phantom. "I know what you did to the people at Lota and Ascension. Killing them and turning them into monsters!" "Sacrifices must be made for the greater good!" "Enough about the 'greater good', those are our people! When I created Destiny those many years ago it was to protect the young New Seattile Republic from aliens and the New Human Empire. "Get out of the past Henderson, aliens already are here we were attacked by the New Human Empire and even while many were escapeing to a frozen planet many Seattilions would of supported our foes, and those that do must die!" "Where do we draw the line? "There is no line!" "Very well," Henderson than pushs a button on his gaunlet, "This is Superume Commander of the Enforcer Corps of Seattile, James Henderson to all of Seattile. I have return to lead our nation to victory against all foes foreign and domestic. Memebers of Destiny you must surrender to the New Seattile Republic or you will die." Henderson than pushes the button again. "You empire is falling apart Phantom..." "You are wrong Henderson this will only slow things down, you can't destory destiny for every human of Trav khar is destiny!" "We shall see! Goodbye Phantom!" the hologram of Henderson than disappears. Phantom than looks at his computer at his desk and it shows that none of the Destiny bunkers have got the message from Henderson.
Defiance City The Seattilan concil is having an emergency meeting after Henderson's message. Concil member Victus is the first to speak, "This James Henderson he is the founder of the New Seattile Republic yes?" "Yes he is." Repiled President Udina, "I thoguht everyone knew that, even you aliens! What I don't understand is how is he alive? Its been hundreds of years since the founding of the New Seattile Republic. Salarin concil member Tazzik ponders for a few seconds than lets the other here him out "Maybe he was Cryo freezed many years ago? Or this is a clone to think that he is Henderson? Or just a simple imposter but from what we can tell that is not the case. We need to contact him and see what he knows." "I agree," repiled Victus. "As do O," said Udina.
Above ND-164, NSRS Silent Observer All of the crew is listening to Henderson's message that the captain has put on loop. One of the ensigns waves at the captain trying to get his attention. After several seconds the captain notices the ensign and walks over to the ensign. "What is it ensign?" "Look at this sir." the ensign points to the ship's moniter that show a part of western New Seattile on ND-164. "As you can see there is something interfearing with our scans." "That is strange." "What is stranger sir is that the interfearance is the same as interfearnce from tiberium." "Tiberium? How does Tiberium get from the Conferacy all the way to New Seattile without us picking any up in other areas of ND-164?" "Maybe some was moved to that area?" "Must be the work of Destiny. Get me to Command!" Moments later the Captain contacts New Seattile Republic Military Command "My crew picked up large amounts Tiberium in our lands on ND-164 and is spreading out of control, if we don't act soon than all of ND-164 will be a tiberium waste land." General Mcknight speaks "Captain are you sure?" "Yes general I am sure... Sending reports now!" The general than looks at a datapad that has the Captain's report "I don't beleive it Tiberium is in our lands! Send a message to the Confederacy! They need to explain this!
Message to the Kardas Confederacy What is Tiberium doing in New Seattile lands! You better help us contain it after this war with the CIC or we will no longer be allies. Signed General Mcknight of Enforcer High Command

OOC: Kardas, We'll after years of roaming in silence, they've grown some form of resistance, not enough that a heavy dose point blank wouldn't kill them, but enough that they are able to at least travel from place to place.
