To help with setting up the RPG, I took these guidelines from the IN forum:
Please play according to these rules:
1. The effect of an event is decided by the suffering nation
2. When the suffering nation doesn't reply for 4 days, the others can decide the effect
3. The RPG-Chief will decide in controversial cases
4. The RPG Chief will make the final decisions on whether or not landgrabbing is allowed.
5.The only technologies allowed in the roleplay section is current technologies which can be produced in the world with a link of evidence if asked. If you wish to submit something that is not being produced you must notify the RPG chief along with the name, plans, designs, etc for the technology in question.
6.The RPG Chief can create natural disasters as he wants to. During these natural disasters the people that are involved may not unrealistically say they survived without any kind of damage.
7. Nuclear disasters must be approved by The RPG Chief BEFORE it will be allowed to happen. Going over the top with it, or doing it without consent may get you banned from the RPG section until further notice.
8. If an aggressor attacks a defender, and the defender is completely without reason in his damage report, than the aggressor may decide the damage within reason and fairness.
Keep in mind these directives too, the RPG-chief will warn you if you went over the top.
* You cant destroy a whole nation or a whole city in one day.
* You have to loose at some things some times, you can't always win. (Always try to report losses on your side)
* Your military is not a unlimited size.
* No putting a shield or anything like that around a nation or city so it can't be destroyed.
* Make some disasters happen to your nation, no nation is perfect or nothing bad happens to it.
* Don't go to war with another nation all the time or for no reason.
* You can't win a war or make a huge change in a war in one day, give other people a little time to act too. (Give them at least 3-5 days to reply)
* Use common sense, don't go over the top about anything really, think about what it would be like in a real country.
*When it comes to military, please don't try to make up huge unfounded numbers. Be realistic, you can't have 40-50% or even 60-70% of your total population in your army, as there won't be enough people to manage your country - your infrastructure and your economy. You need at least 80-90% of your people managing your country, in order for it to be remotely stable, and even that is not enough sometimes.

Aaand a quick note:
In many RPs things are posted as a story. EX- The advisor held a folder of maps, photos, and other documents in front of the president. "Sir, they are preparing for war. What should we do?"
The president picked up the phone and called the military command.
"I want the army ready to fight" Something like that adds a lot of depth to the RPG. See how each leader is as a person, what makes the nation tick. Who and what makes your nation up? I know that it'll be hard to change the way we RP here, but try to avoid just one line. Develop thoughts and see what things may happen.
Lastly grammar is appreciated.
Have fun!
